New Borderlands 4 Hot Fix Improves Loot & Cooldowns

Borderlands 4 hot fix updates rolled through on October 30, 2025, and while this one isn’t massive, the changes that did land actually matter. The devs focused on quality-of-life fixes and long-standing bugs the community has been vocal about since launch. No flashy content yet, but stability updates matter — and this week shows it.

Restarting the game is required for the hot fix to apply.

Gravitar Mod Drop Changes in the Borderlands 4 Hot Fix

The Gravitar class mod Reactor finally drops from Inceptus instead of floating around as a random world drop. This Borderlands 4 hot fix brings targeted farming back where it belongs. That’s a big relief for players who were grinding endlessly hoping it wasn’t bugged.

Class mod drop balance still needs future tuning — many players running Aman builds mention finding Rafa, Harlo, and Vexcoms more often than their own class gear. But this change nudges things in the right direction.

Skully Grenade Fix Lands — and It Actually Hits Now

The Skully grenade no longer behaves like a level-one joke item. Its damage scaling now works properly, letting the Order legendary grenade scale correctly with level.

Fire effect audio also got fixed so explosions don’t blast your ears at close range.

Halloween event grenade builds suddenly got interesting again. Still too early to call it meta, but the Skully now feels like real loot instead of a novelty.

Borderlands 4 Hot Fix Improves Crit Knife & Vendor Reset System

A nasty crit knife bug has been corrected. Previously, the knife penetrator augment forced all attacks to a flat 30% crit chance, destroying builds stacked with crit bonuses from skill trees. Now the augment respects crit values instead of capping them.

Another great quality-of-life fix: interacting with Dr. Set’s meds, gun vending machines, lost loot machines, and similar stations now resets action skills, ordinance, and rep kits currently on cooldown. Farming loops feel smoother without save-quit cycles just to reset cooldowns.

Some players hope this mechanic gets tied to the Big Encore machine instead to cut down one extra menu pop — simple, but clean design wins always feel good.

Weekly Shifts, Encore Location, and Vendor Moves

The world boss wings audio has been reduced — good news for loud-volume grinders.

The Big Encore machine has rotated to Orgo, offering better farming options this week. Time to chase triple amp Watts for Dinner rolls, berserk shatter White setups, and boss fiend Kaosin drops thanks to high dedicated drop chance.

The “bot meta” noise didn’t go unheard — the bot enemy is now tied into the weekly wild card mission via the below the surface quest.

Maurice’s Black Market vendor also moved — now tucked near Bones of Sanctuary, by the right-side back path near the cave area where Amaro mentions babysitting Ava’s pet Hermes. Quick grab for collectors and roll hunters.

The fixes are meaningful. What’s missing? Post-launch content. Players are waiting — hopefully not for long.
