If you log in right now, the egg hunt is already active across multiple maps and the clock is ticking. Here is a full breakdown of what each event means, what you can earn, and which maps to prioritize.

May 12 Maintenance: What Happened and When Servers Came Back

All MU Online servers went offline at 07:00 UTC on May 12th and returned to service by 09:00 UTC. The downtime lasted two hours and affected all servers. Both events activated immediately after the maintenance window closed.

Egg of Monsters: Maps, Drops, and What the Muun Eggs Actually Give You

Egg of Monsters is a limited-time recurring event in MU Online where special monsters spawn across the continent and drop Muun eggs. Those eggs work like loot boxes, each one holding a random reward when opened from your event inventory (hotkey: CTRL + V).

Where the event monsters spawn and what they drop:

Based on the consistent format of previous Egg of Monsters events, the maps are split by reward tier:

  • Lower-tier maps (Lorencia, Noria, Elveland, Devias): Eggs drop Zen x100,000, Chaos/Life/Soul/Bless x1, any Normal Muun, or any Normal Evolution Stone

  • Mid-tier maps (Lost Tower, Icarus, Kalima 5, Adia): Eggs drop Zen x200,000 plus the same selection

  • High-tier maps (Raklion, Swamp of Peace, Kanturu Ruins, Kalima 7): Eggs drop Zen x300,000 plus the same pool

The May 12th Webzen event page also confirms that hunting takes place across Helheim, Midgard, Alfheim, Arcadia, Fresei, Noatun, Jotunheim, Nidavellir, Niflheim, and Ydalir. If you are geared for late-game content, those maps are where you want to be spending your time during this event.

The Muun you can collect:

Looking at the April 7th, 2026 Egg of Monsters event as the closest prior confirmed reference, the event featured two Muun types available through egg drops:

  • Lure (Common grade): Provides Skill Damage Increase (Non-PVP). Special Ability activates between 13:00 and 24:00 in-game time, boosting the ability by x5

  • Fighter (Common grade): Provides an Attack Skill (Non-PVP) with a 10-second skill delay. Special Ability activates Monday through Thursday, boosting the ability by x2

Both Muun have an evolved form with identical stats and conditions. Webzen has not confirmed whether the May 12th edition uses the same Muun or introduces new ones. Check the official event page for the confirmed Muun for this specific run.

Premium Muun Eggs:

Premium Muun Eggs are sold through the Cash Item Shop during the event period and are the only way to get Premium Muun. The drop table for Premium Eggs is:

  • Featured Normal Muun: 66% chance

  • Paul (Level 2): 15% chance

  • Chiron (Level 3): 10% chance

  • Featured Premium Muun: 9% chance

You cannot obtain mountable Muun or hero Muun from any Muun egg, premium or otherwise.

Speed Server Transfer Is Now Open

The Speed Server Transfer also went live with the May 12th update. This feature lets players move their characters between Speed Servers, which run on accelerated progression timelines compared to MU Online’s regular servers.

Webzen has been running Speed Servers through 2026 as part of a broader initiative that also included a Playtime Attack Event earlier in May. The full transfer conditions are not detailed in the patch notes themselves, so check your in-game transfer menu or the official Webzen notice board for eligibility rules.

What to Focus on First

If you are a returning or active player, jump into Egg of Monsters immediately. The event runs for roughly two weeks based on previous editions, so the sooner you start farming, the more eggs you will stack. Higher-level players should go straight to the top-tier maps for the best Zen and item drops per session.

If you are on a Speed Server, check whether your character qualifies for the transfer before the window closes. Webzen has not confirmed an exact end date for the transfer feature in the May 12th patch notes.
