Potions are one of the most useful crafting systems in Moonlight Peaks, giving you access to powerful buffs, utility effects, and even cosmetic changes. After unlocking the Cauldron, you’ll be able to brew elixirs that restore Mana, eliminate Energy costs for daily activities, improve friendships, and much more.
This guide explains how to unlock and repair the Cauldron, where to buy potion recipes, and every potion currently available in the game.
How to Unlock the Cauldron
The Cauldron becomes available as you progress through the main story.
After repairing your wand and strengthening your relationship with the town’s witches, your mother will send you a Cauldron through the mail.
Unfortunately, it arrives in poor condition and can’t be used immediately.
How to Repair the Cauldron
Take the damaged Cauldron to Fiona and ask her to repair it.
She’ll keep it for one day before returning it fully restored. Along with the repaired Cauldron, Fiona also teaches you your first recipe:
- Alter Ego Elixir
Once repaired, you’ll be able to brew potions whenever you have the required ingredients.
Where to Get Potion Recipes
Most potion recipes can be purchased from Sabrina at Webb of Wonders.
The ingredients used for brewing come from several different activities, including:
- Farming crops
- Raising animals
- Fishing
- Mining in Crystal Cave
- Gathering herbs and flowers
- Collecting crystals
- Crafting ingredient powders
Exploring every area regularly makes collecting ingredients much easier.

How to Brew Potions
Once your Cauldron has been repaired and you’ve collected the necessary ingredients, brewing a potion only takes a few steps.
- Interact with your Cauldron.
- Select the potion you want to create.
- Confirm that you have all required ingredients.
- Complete the brewing minigame.
During brewing, a timing wheel appears with a moving marker. Press the interact button whenever the marker enters the highlighted blue section. Each potion requires several successful timing inputs before the brewing process is complete.
Successfully finishing the minigame creates the potion instantly.
Which Potions Should You Make First?
Some potions are far more useful than others during the early game.
The Sunscreen Potion is one of the first recipes worth crafting, as it allows you to spend more time outdoors without worrying about sunlight. Resource-gathering tonics—including Mindless Miner, Frictionless Farming, Fluent Fishing, and Fierce Forester—are excellent choices whenever you’re planning a long day focused on collecting materials.
Later in the game, the Love Potion becomes especially valuable for players pursuing romance, while the Mana Potion provides a reliable way to restore Mana during exploration and spellcasting.
Keeping a small supply of your favorite brews on hand can make daily activities much more efficient and help you get the most out of each in-game day.
