The Breaking Waves patch finally arrives on March 19, 2025, in Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB). This update included changes in the emblem system, hero balance, new hero, and in-game events. So, here’s the complete details of the MLBB Breaking Waves patch.

What’s New in Emblem System

MLBB breaking waves patch

Players saw significant changes in the emblem system of Breaking Waves. This directly impacts your gameplay strategy along with your hero builds. These are the adjustments they’ve made to the emblem system:

  • Killing Spree (Assassin Emblem): It’ll now trigger even when dealing damage to low-HP heroes instead of only after securing kills. It’s a reliable emblem for assassin players who need a 15% health and 20% movement speed boost during crucial engagements.
  • Temporal Reign (Common Emblem): It extends the duration of your core talent once players secure kills or assists, allowing for more sustained benefits during team fights.
  • Focusing Mark (Support Emblem): Increased the damage boost your allies receive when attacking marked enemies from 4 seconds. It now also provides you and your allies with a movement speed boost.
  • Tenacity (Tank Emblem): Tanks now also receive an additional 5% damage reduction while maintaining the 15-point increase to physical and magical defense once below 50% HP.  This makes them more durable in extended engagements.
  • Pull Yourself Together (Support Emblem): Provides a variable cooldown reduction which starts at 12%, increasing to 20% depending on your kills and assists. This rewards players of active support play.
  • Firmness (Fighter Emblem): Increased your physical and magical defense bonuses from 6%, strengthening fighters’ durability in the lane.
  • Inspire (Mage Emblem): Allows mana regeneration besides your additional 5% cooldown reduction, addressing mages’ resource management issues.

Who is the New Hero, Kalea?

MLBB Breaking Waves patch introduces another hero into the extensive roster of the game. It’s a Support/Fighter hybrid this time named Kalea from the Vonetis Sea. She serves as Great Serpent’s descendant, with unique gameplay mechanics to the Land of Dawn.

Kalea is receiving attention as a hybrid hero who excels both in roaming and support. Her skills are a combination of healing and crowd-control abilities. Unlike traditional supports, she can heal allies by attacking enemies. This allows for an aggressive support playstyle that rewards engagement.

Also, her body slam ability resembles Atlas’ ultimate, disrupting enemy positioning and creating openings for her team. From March 19, 2025, you can purchase Kalea and her basic skin, Shimmering Waves, at a special price of 51 Diamonds. However, it’ll be only available for the first two weeks from its launch date.

MLBB Breaking Wave Events and Rewards

Other than the new hero and adjustments, MOONTON also prepares several in-game events to enjoy the update. These events encourage MLBB playersto engage with the new content released.

  • Dazzling Golden Base Event (19 March to 4 April): You’ll have an opportunity to transform their base into a golden one during Ranked or Classic matches. Destroying these golden bases rewards players with event currency as well as up to several Dazzling Golden Spin keys.
