Golden Ciphers can be obtained while exploring and looting, including from enemies and treasure chests. They come in several forms, such as Prayer Ciphers, Lost Ciphers, Old World Ciphers, and Nameless Ciphers.
After obtaining one, inspect its description. A Golden Cipher contains two strings of words that act as clues to the NPC capable of properly deciphering it.
You can bring the Cipher back to Windrest Camp and hand it over for decoding. However, simply finding someone willing to decipher it isn’t enough. Taking it to the NPC indicated by its clue words is what earns the additional high-value reward.
