Marvel Rivals Update: Infinity Gauntlet Discovery and New Skin Gameplay

A significant discovery was made in the Marvel Rivals update files earlier today, the Infinity Gauntlet. This unexpected find raises questions about potential future content. Alongside this, an update was implemented, introducing additional hidden assets.

Luna Snow Skin Bundle and Captain America Infinity War Skin

Excitement surrounds the newly revealed Luna Snow skin bundle, which includes an intricately designed skin, an animated title card, a visually striking spray, and a new emote. Additionally, a trailer was unveiled for the Captain America Infinity War skin, featuring his dual Wakandan shields. The shield appears as a projected barrier when in combat, staying true to its depiction in the film. In the gameplay footage, Captain America can be seen battling in Wakanda, adding to the immersive experience of the update.

The Luna Snow skin has been receiving enthusiastic responses. While her abilities remain unchanged, a neon-like visual effect has been observed, replacing the traditional ice aesthetic. Her ultimate ability maintains the same mechanics, with her standing on an ice platform during execution. The MVP screen showcases her performing on stage, further enhancing the theme of her new look.

The Infinity Gauntlet’s Role in the Marvel Rivals Update

The discovery of Thanos’s Gauntlet led to speculation about a possible introduction of Thanos to the game. However, further analysis suggests that this model is tied to an emote for the Captain America skin. This references a pivotal moment in Avengers: Infinity War when Captain America momentarily holds off Thanos. The emote features a mini version of the Infinity Gauntlet pushing against Captain America, echoing the intense struggle from the film. Unfortunately, Thanos himself does not appear to be making an in-game debut.

Valentine’s Event and Additional Skins

Data miners uncovered assets related to an upcoming Valentine’s event, labeled “Valentine Flow” in the files. A closer look at these assets reveals small evolving flower animations, indicating a possible event theme. Alongside these discoveries, high-definition renders of the Captain America and Luna Snow skins have been released, showcasing their final in-game appearances. Additional sprays and title cards further expand the customization options available for players.

The update, estimated to be around 1GB in size, has already begun rolling out, with skins set for official release tomorrow.

My Hero Academia Collaboration and Other Announcements

A crossover promotion between My Hero Academia and Captain America: Brave New World was announced, featuring promo

tional artwork combining characters from both franchises. While no in-game crossover content has been confirmed, the collaboration highlights the strong fan bases of both properties. The final season of My Hero Academia is also set to release this year, coinciding with the Captain America movie’s premiere on February 14th.

Additionally, a collaboration with YuYu Game Booster has been introduced for Marvel Rivals players in China. Completing 15 matches grants a seven-day YuYu Game Booster access, aimed at improving in-game performance.

The latest Marvel Rivals update introduces exciting content, including the Infinity Gauntlet, Luna Snow and Captain America skins, and a Valentine’s event. With collaborations and giveaways, players can expect an engaging experience filled with surprises and exclusive in-game rewards.
