Marvel Rivals Season 3: Blade Tease, Celestial Map, and Skin Leaks

The Marvel Rivals Season 3 tease has kicked off with a lore-based mystery: Blade is missing. Last seen resting in the Intergalactic Empire of Wakanda, the vampire hunter was lying in bed with Dracula’s sword after being rescued. However, in the most recent update, he’s gone—without even making the bed. The official Marvel Rivals Twitter account posted an image of Jeff looking confused, captioned “Where did he go this time?”, adding fuel to speculation that Blade’s debut may finally be near.

Blade has long been rumored as a playable character, with past datamines by XOX_Leak revealing a full kit: a katana primary weapon, a mid-range hunting shotgun, and ability names like Stomp and Slash, Fang Deflect, and Dark Knight Attack. His passive, Bloodline Liberation, reportedly lets him see through walls—possibly a vampire sense that highlights low-health enemies. His ultimate, New Moon, seems to transform him into a vampire state with enhanced abilities.

Even his hero description, leaked previously, confirms the vampire narrative:

“Half-human and half-vampire, Eric Brooks walks between worlds craving the very life force of his enemies… Blade’s hunt begins as he wields the swords of Dracula…”

This aligns with concept art from NetEase, showcasing Blade dual-wielding Dracula’s swords, and his official logo appears on a Marvel-sanctioned Blade T-shirt. If all that wasn’t enough, Miller Ross and others reported a list of slated heroes: Blade, Phoenix, Professor X, Gambit, Rogue, Daredevil, and a mystery tank.

Celestial Remains Domination Map Incoming (Marvel Rivals Season 3)

Alongside the hero teases, in-game visuals are also shifting. The Clintar map’s skybox no longer displays the floating Celestial slain by Knull, as per Marvel Rivals lore. The latest update shows the Celestial’s body has crashed on Clintar.

Players can spot the remains just outside the attacker spawn, confirming what game files leaked earlier—this area will become a new domination map titled “Celestial Remains.” Given the lore connections and dramatic visuals, this map is expected to bring major story-driven interactions and environmental storytelling.

Swimsuit Special Skins and Voice Line Leaks

Skins are also heating up—literally. As Marvel’s Swimsuit Special returns on July 9, it’s bringing in several Marvel Rivals skins. A new Psylocke voice line, “So much for vacation,” found by XOX_Leak, appears to match the aesthetic teased in the comic’s cover art. This would link to the “comic Psylocke” skin listed in recent datamined skin info.

The same skin list includes “comic” versions of Iron Man and Spider-Man, both seen on Swimsuit Special covers. These likely represent the seasonal theme and could drop throughout Season 3, which runs through summer.

Minor Changes in Twitch Drop Skin for Magik

Fans also spotted a visual change in the Will of Galacta Magik skin, which players earn via Twitch drops. The promo art depicted pink armor over bare arms, while the in-game version features a black undershirt beneath the armor. Though subtle, the difference became a topic of conversation online, and raises questions about future skin alterations between art and in-game appearance.

Players can also view the Darkchylde variant, a glowing, powered-up version of Magik included in the drop. Don’t forget to link your Twitch account to claim it.

Marvel Rivals Season 3 Trailer Timing and Hero Guesswork

Marvel Rivals Season 3 officially starts June 11, with the trailer expected around July 4. The community widely expects Jean Grey (Phoenix) to debut first. However, if Blade appears too, the season might include two Duelists—a surprising move given balancing priorities. It’s more likely Marvel continues teasing Blade across maps until a future season, unless Phoenix’s kit shifts her out of Duelist territory.
