Marvel Rivals Patch Notes: Hero Balances and Fixes in Latest Update

Marvel Rivals has rolled out a new patch featuring hero balance adjustments and crucial fixes. This update, scheduled for March 13, 2025, at 2 a.m. PDT, will go live without server downtime, allowing players to dive straight into the action. Here’s everything included in the latest Marvel Rivals patch notes.

New Twitch Drops for Exclusive Rewards

Starting March 14 at 2 a.m. PDT, Twitch Drops return with exclusive in-game rewards. Players can watch their favorite streamers to unlock the Adam Warlock skin, Will of Galacta spray, nameplate, and costume. As usual, these Twitch Drops are one-time exclusives, making them a great collectible for dedicated players.

General Fixes and Optimizations (Marvel Rivals Patch Notes)

The latest patch includes several performance improvements and bug fixes across all platforms:

  • Raw Input Option: A new setting for mouse and keyboard input.
  • Voice Chat Overlay Fix: Resolved an issue where player names were displayed incorrectly in competitive voice chat.
  • Frame Rate Sensitivity Fix: Adjusted sensitivity issues caused by frame rate fluctuations.
  • Quotation Mark Chat Bug: Fixed a problem where messages containing quotation marks occasionally failed to send.

Map and Mode Fixes

  • Several terrain issues resolved to prevent characters from becoming stuck or clipping into unintended areas.

Hero Bug Fixes

Loki – Deathly Illusion

  • Fixed an issue where Loki’s ultimate transformation caused incorrect camera angles during past live replays.

Venom – Aerial Anomaly

  • Addressed a bug where Venom could become stuck in midair after using his ultimate ability under poor network conditions.

Penny Parker – Purdue Predicament

  • Fixed an issue where Arachno Mines became invisible when placed over cyber webs.

Winter Soldier – Reload Rumble

  • Resolved a bug where tainted voltage automatic reload could fail when immediately using Trooper’s F ability.

Wolverine – Claw Coordination

  • Adjusted animation timing and effects for a more precise and impactful dive attack during his ultimate ability.

Hero Balance Adjustments

The mid-season balance update for Season 1.5 brings optimizations to select heroes to maintain gameplay diversity. Following the addition of The Human Torch and The Thing, various team compositions have surged in popularity. The patch aims to refine hero strengths while keeping the competitive scene balanced.

Human Torch Buff

  • Fire Cluster (Primary Attack):
    • Projectile Speed increased from 120 m/s to 150 m/s.
    • Projectile Count increased from 12 to 14.
  • Supernova (Ultimate Ability):
    • Energy Cost increased from 3,400 to 4,000.
    • Activation Wave Damage increased from 70 to 80.
    • Flame Tornado Damage increased from 100/s to 120/s.

Iron Man Adjustments (Marvel Rivals Patch Notes)

  • Repulsor Blast Adjustments:
    • Stage 1 & 2 Direct Hit Damage decreased from 55 to 40.
    • Spell Field Damage increased from 35 to 50.
    • Stage 3 Direct Hit Damage decreased from 65 to 50.
    • Spell Field Damage increased from 40 to 60.
  • Armor Overdrive Adjustments:
    • Direct Hit Damage decreased from 55 to 50.
    • Spell Field Damage increased from 55 to 65.

Cloak & Dagger Buff

  • Healing Effect of Light Force Daggers on allies increased from 10 to 16.
  • Spell Field Healing Amount reduced from 18 to 16.

This latest Marvel Rivals patch introduces several hero balance adjustments, general fixes, and new Twitch Drops. While only three heroes received significant changes in this update, future patches may bring broader adjustments. The developers are actively monitoring the competitive environment and promise more hero balancing and gameplay refinements as Season 2 approaches.
