New Costume Designs Revealed
Just days before the patch release, Marvel Rivals shared an image showcasing upcoming costume designs. From left to right, the characters appear to be Luna Snow, Punisher in the center, and potentially either Hela or Psylocke on the right. The developers haven’t confirmed who’s who, but the designs look striking. Fans of Luna Snow and Psylocke have been particularly enthusiastic about the possibility of getting more cosmetics for these characters.
The Punisher design caught players off guard. Many didn’t realize it was him until checking the community replies on the official post. Overall, the designs demonstrate a high level of creativity and visual quality, adding more flair to the in-game character lineup.
Spider-Punk and Steam Power Skins Now Live
Two new skins launched on March 21. Spider-Man’s Spider-Punk skin and Iron Man’s Steam Power skin are now available in-game. Both offer distinct visuals that fit well with each hero’s personality and combat style. These releases have set a strong precedent for the wave of cosmetic drops planned for the rest of the month.
Also coming soon are new skins for Moon Knight and Black Panther, set to launch on March 28. The Moon Knight skin, titled Fist of Vengeance, draws inspiration from the Disney+ series. Meanwhile, Black Panther’s new Thrice Host King skin gives him a gothic, vampire-like aesthetic. These skins were teased in images shared by Miller Ross on Twitter, giving players their first glimpse before official release.
The Thrice Host King skin includes several features: MVP animations, emotes, nameplates, and a spray. It’s classified as an epic skin and costs 1,600 units. While the Moon Knight cosmetic details remain unreleased, they’re expected to drop very soon.
Marvel Rivals Patch Notes (Version 20250327)
The patch went live on March 26, although some regions reported early access due to time zone differences. According to the notes, this update brings a seamless experience with no downtime, allowing players to jump back in immediately after updating.
A major highlight of this patch includes the addition of a hidden April Fool’s Easter egg gift in Galactus’s Cosmic Adventure. Players who complete all rewards from the event between April 1 and April 4 will unlock this surprise. The event operates as a board game system: roll dice, move around, and collect rewards like credits, sprays, and skins. To qualify for the Easter egg gift, players must claim every available reward.
Hero Fixes and Gameplay Adjustments
The Marvel Rivals Patch also addresses several hero issues and map glitches:
-
Wolverine’s Feral Leap: Hulk now responds correctly after terrain KOs.
-
Iron Man: Fixed bugs related to wall climbing and teleportation misfires within the Sanctum Sanctorum.
-
Loki/Doctor Strange: Removed an unintended transformation glitch in Doom match involving the forbidden pentagram.
-
Magneto: Resolved MVP animation bugs after match completion.
-
Wolverine’s Ultimate: Fixed positional errors under high network latency.
-
Human Torch: Addressed an issue where primary attacks missed the target.
Map bugs also received attention. Developers fixed terrain glitches that caused characters to clip into strange areas or revive teammates outside play zones—especially in Hydra’s Chartar Base map involving Rocket Raccoon.
A notable console bug was also removed. This issue caused the chat focus to shift unpredictably to earlier messages, disrupting communication during gameplay.
