Daredevil’s Full Kit and Playstyle
The biggest highlight of the Marvel Rivals mid-season 4 patch is the release of Daredevil, whose moveset emphasizes precision and timing. His Radar Sense allows players to detect enemies through walls, while Blind Ascent gives wall-climbing and mobility options.
His Justice Jab serves as the main attack, building Fury for follow-up abilities. Devil’s Latch pulls both Daredevil and his target together, opening up a Righteous Cross strike for close-range impact. Infernal Fury lets players consume Fury for either Devil’s Chain, which grants bonus health, or Devil’s Throw, which slows enemies.
Other abilities include Sonic Pursuit, which locks onto a target and provides bonus mobility and Fury regeneration, and Objection, a stance that reflects projectiles and grants damage immunity. His ultimate, Let the Devil Out, deals damage and applies a stacking blind effect, turning Daredevil into a true close-range threat. His team-up with the Punisher also boosts coordination—marked targets grant speed and damage reduction to both heroes.
Hero Buffs: Angela, Blade, Venom, and More
Several heroes are getting welcome improvements. Angela now heals more when striking enemies under Divine Judgment, with ally healing also increased. Venom’s ultimate now applies a 30% healing reduction for four seconds, giving him stronger anti-sustain capabilities.
Blade, long considered underwhelming, sees a much-needed rework. His dash secondary attack range expands from 4.5m to 6.5m, while slash speed stacks from Bloodline Awakening last longer—up from 0.7 to 1 second. Landing all four hits of his Whirlwind Slash now grants a bonus stack, increasing his fluidity in combat.
Iron Fist gets a boost against tanks, as his percentage damage per strike increases from 2.7% to 3.1%. Rocket Raccoon’s CIA ultimate also now gives a larger 40% damage bonus, up from 25%, making him a deadlier backline hero.\
Hero Nerfs: Phoenix, Human Torch, Ultron, and More
Several powerhouses are being toned down. Phoenix loses her spark stack gain on melee attacks, and her Dark Ascent now has a one-second cooldown and no longer replenishes ammo. Human Torch suffers a fire cluster damage reduction and slower Plasma Body speed.
Ultron takes hits to both sustain and ultimate charge rate. His healing from Imperative Patch drops from 35 to 30 per second, and Rage of Ultron now costs 3,700 energy instead of 3,400. Jeff’s survivability also drops, as his Oblivious Cuteness passive now provides only 50% headshot damage reduction instead of 70%.
Magik’s team-up with Doctor Strange receives a cooldown increase, while Cloak and Dagger’s Eternal Bond ultimate builds slower due to a higher cost of 4,500.
Team-Ups and Special Changes
The patch introduces new team synergies while removing outdated ones. Hela loses her resurrection link with Thor but gains a new anchor partnership with Neore, called Deep Wrath. This grants Neore access to Tidal Dirge, dealing AoE damage with healing reduction and spawning extra Monstros upon eliminations.
Mr. Fantastic’s Distended Grip now immobilizes targets for one second after a successful pull, adding extra crowd control potential. Meanwhile, Hela’s ultimate, Astral Flock, casts faster and now grants her bonus health after activation.
These changes highlight a continued effort from the developers to tighten balance, enhance hero synergy, and ensure that underperforming characters see more playtime.
How the Mid-Season Patch Shifts the Meta
The Marvel Rivals mid-season 4 patch introduces both offensive variety and new counterplay tools. Daredevil’s hybrid of utility and aggression adds another versatile duelist, while Blade’s rework could push him into top-tier play. The updates to Hela, Neore, and Rocket open the door for more creative team compositions, especially in coordinated modes.
Overall, this patch balances aggression and sustainability, with new heroes and adjustments shaping a more dynamic combat environment going into the latter half of Season 4.
