The LCK Cup 2025 Group Stage is almost over, and the Play-ins and Playoffs draw near. Ten LCK teams, divided into two groups, have battled one another for only nine spots, and we’ll soon find out which one will drop out of the competition. Let’s look at the results of the LCK Cup 2025 Group Stage so far.
LCK Cup 2025 Format
Part of the overall restructuring of the whole League of Legends (LoL) esports ecosystem, the LCK underwent some changes, too. Instead of Spring and Summer Splits, there will be the LCK Cup at the beginning of the season, and the regular season with two parts right after. So, the whole competitive season will be in three parts overall, each part serving as qualification for three major international tournaments.
The LCK Cup in particular will determine only one among ten LCK teams to qualify to the First Stand tournament. The Cup will begin with the Group Stage, where:
- 10 teams are divided into two groups of five: Group Baron and Group Elder
- The teams of one group will play best-of-three Round Robin matches against the teams of the other group
- The group who gets 13 wins collectively first will be the Winner Group, while the other one will be the Loser Group
Play-Ins and Playoffs
After two and a half weeks of competition, the Top 3 teams from the Winner Group are automatically qualified for the Playoffs. The Bottom 2 of the Winner Group and Top 4 of the Loser Group then battle in the Play-ins. Meanwhile, the remaining team is eliminated.
