The Kamehameha mythic item has been unvaulted in Fortnite Battle Royale. This Dragon Ball-inspired superpower delivers high burst damage after a short animation sequence, making it a powerful but situational option. Due to its charge-up time and lack of movement during activation, players using it are exposed and vulnerable to attacks.
Its best usage lies in PvE scenarios. The Kamehameha performs especially well against large and small spires scattered across the island. It can nearly destroy a spire in a single blast, making it useful for farming Hero Points and gaining early loot. Although it can be deployed against enemies, aggressive players often interrupt the animation with gunfire or mobility tools before the blast lands.

Countering it remains simple: movement. The Kamehameha has a narrow tracking range and limited control during activation. Its blue screen overlay also reduces visibility for the user. Players can evade it easily using Base Boost Gloves, dash abilities, Surf Cubes, or Core Medallion sprint jumps.
Boss Fights and Mythic Strategy
In terms of boss fights, the Kamehameha offers mixed results. Against Daigo, it performs reasonably well, though it doesn’t secure a one-shot elimination. It was less effective against Core, whose frequent teleporting nullifies most of the damage before it connects.
When engaging Core, traditional tactics like ranged shots while maintaining cover prove more efficient. Players are encouraged to take advantage of the mythic item when clearing spires or engaging Daigo but exercise caution when using it against other players or the Core boss.
The Nimbus Cloud, often paired with the Kamehameha in past updates, has not returned to the core Battle Royale loot pool. It does, however, remain available in Blitz mode.
Healing Changes and Mending Machine Update
A notable update concerns healing items. Med Mist has returned to the game but only appears in mending machines rather than floor loot or chests. These mending machines now feature randomized stock, meaning that players may encounter minis, big pots, bandages, medkits, or Med Mist depending on RNG.
Previously, mending machines guaranteed certain items such as big pots. This unpredictability now adds a new layer of strategy—players relying on these machines for their shield and health supply must prepare for variance.
A welcome fix was also applied: players can now consume big pots and mini shields while airborne, reversing a prior update that disabled this functionality during slides, boosts, and mid-air movement. This reversion helps maintain momentum-based healing strategies for fast-paced engagements.
Map Updates and Event Countdown
With the upcoming live event on the horizon, Fortnite’s map has undergone visual changes. More spires have been added and repositioned, slightly altering the landscape. Although these spires don’t drastically change gameplay, they contribute to the evolving map theme this season.
A countdown timer is now visible above Demon’s Domain, signaling the approach of this season’s live event, set for Saturday at 2:00 p.m. ET. Players should convert this to their local time zones to participate. Exotic Hyper Burst Pistol Bug Fix
Finally, Epic Games has resolved a bug involving the exotic Hyper Burst Pistol. Previously, players who carried two of these pistols triggered a shockwave effect on every burst shot. This unintended mechanic has now been patched. The shockwave will now only trigger on the first and last bursts in a magazine, regardless of how many pistols are carried.
