After years of remaining free from cheaters, Valorant appears to be grappling with an increase in cheating incidents this past month. High Elo players have confirmed encountering multiple cheaters in their games. Riot was always known for maintaining a strong and secure anti-cheat system. Now, however, they seem to be struggling with a rise in cheating, particularly in higher Elo matches. Cheaters are even throwing games to profit from crypto betting. In addition to this, we’ll also cover roster news regarding Shazam and his future, so keep reading to stay updated on everything related to Valorant.

Cheaters Taking Over Valorant Once Again?
Reports of cheating incidents have surfaced, and things haven’t been looking bright for Vanguard. Despite Riot Games’ efforts to improve their Vanguard anti-cheat system, cheaters have flooded the servers. Some have even taken to Twitter to post their cheating clips. Streamers and pro players like GRIM, Tenz, Shanks, Demon1, and many others have been targeted by a particular cheater this month.
Riot swiftly banned this cheater, but the damage was already done as he had successfully cheated in over 100 games without getting caught. At first glance, many could not discern the cheats as they didn’t appear suspicious. It was only after multiple reports from random teammates that Riot finally banned the player. Demon1 also reported him, claiming the cheater was intentionally throwing matches while on Demon1’s team. This is an issue Riot might need to address soon, as players are concerned about the possibility of other cheaters still active in the game.
Shazam to EG?
Moving on from Valorant cheaters, let’s move onto Shahzam. After being benched and turning to full-time streaming, Shazam is once again in the spotlight for potentially returning to professional play. While he himself may have started the rumor, it appears that Evil Geniuses are interested in signing Shazam. With the likes of Jaegemo still on the team, Evil Geniuses aim to maximize their potential under coach Potter and star player Jaegemo by adding more experienced firepower to the mix. Among the players who left EG, only Boostio has had a successful campaign. Demon1 and Ethan are yet to make an impact at NRG. Hence, EG remains hopeful of qualifying for Champions and perhaps lifting the trophy again as underdogs.
Game Changers Updates
Yesterday’s update was significant as teams continue to push game changers, seeking better ways to overhaul the scenes. There has been considerable debate over whether game changers is heading in the right direction. Many GC players have recently retired, raising questions about its effectiveness because players often prefer to participate in challenges or the VCT. However, it often makes more sense for players to remain in Game Changers due to prize money considerations, rather than moving up the ladder, which is the intended goal of game changers.
Challengers League Qualification
They have made changes to enhance upward playability and refine the Pro System as they intended. Game Changers teams qualifying for the Game Changers Championship will automatically receive invitations to their local Challengers leagues qualifier. There, they will compete for a spot in the local Challengers league. This initiative aims to make it more feasible for Game Changers participants to engage in challenges and bridge that gap to some extent. Whether this strategy will succeed remains a topic for debate.
