Is The Toji Fushiguro Fortnite Skin Worth It?

Is it truly Fortnite’s “biggest fumble”? Fortnite and Jujutsu Kaisen (JJK) just released a highly-anticipated collab skin bundle, called the Killer Curses Bundle. Yet, it drew mixed reactions despite initial hype surrounding it. In particular, the Toji Fushiguro Fortnite skin is received with disappointment and hesitation. Let’s find out if It’s truly worthy of your V-Bucks or not.

Fortnite x JJK: Killer Curses Bundle

The Fortnite x JJK Killer Curses Bundle includes three new JJK character skins. This is Wave 2, in addition to the first one with Gojo Satoru, Itadori Yuuji, and Kugisaki Nobara skins in 2023. This time, it’s JJK villains who are coming to the battle royale.

Alongside other major antagonists like Ryomen Sukuna and Mahito, the bundle features a Toji Fushiguro Fortnite skin. The bundle costs 3,800 V-Bucks, and additionally has cosmetics like Back Blings, Pickaxes, Emotes, and a Wrap as well.

Toji Fushiguro Fortnite Skin Price and Design

You can get the Toji skin alone at 1,500 V-Bucks instead, if you only want his skin. This skin depicts Toji’s appearance in the Shibuya Arc, with the white sweater and black pants.

However, this design apparently fell short of fans’ expectations, resulting in mixed reactions from the community. In the anime, Toji has worn another outfit that is considered more iconic and more popular, making his Fortnite skin outfit a baffling choice.

Toji’s look in the Hidden Inventory arc has been what he was known for; a tight-fitting black shirt and white baggy pants. Of course, it isn’t complete without the distinctive cursed worm wrapped around his body. This look is what he sports in most official art and merchandise, as well as fanmade ones.

Community Reactions

Because of the difference in the actual Toji Fushiguro Fortnite skin design and fans’ expectations, many are hesitating to buy the skin. Players expressed disappointment as they felt like it was a lazy design without any thought put into it.

Even more frustrating for fans is the absence of an “Edit Style” option. Usually, problems with the main skin design in Fortnite are solved with this option to switch to an alternative look. However, the Toji skin lacks one—fans only get one look, and it isn’t even what they wanted.

There’s apparently a lot of missed opportunities too with the Toji Fushiguro Fortnite skin. The cursed worm as a Back Bling that can contain weapons, or the Inverted Spear of Heaven as a pickaxe would have both been great additions to the set. These elements could have better represented Toji and made the skin feel truly like him.

Is the Toji Fushiguro Fortnite Skin Worth It?

In all fairness, the Toji skin is reasonably priced compared to other Fortnite collaborations. Indeed, its design is not the best, making it hardly worth buying on its own. If you’re a die-hard Toji Fushiguro fan hoping for his signature look, you might want to skip this skin and save your V-Bucks.

If you’re more of a general JJK enthusiast, though, and would want to get the whole skin bundle regardless, we’d say go for it! The entire Killer Curses set is more valuable and would save you a lot of money.
