Understanding Character Types and Abilities

These characters vary when it comes to their main weapon types. They are categorized into four main weapon types such as one-handed weapons, spears, bows, and two-handed weapons. Out of all characters, the Mysterious Construct is the only one to wield all three melee weapon types.
However, the Sages were also powerful with Raphica, Agraston, Qia, and Ardi’s skills. Raphica can command with the Secret Stone while the rest wields elemental damage. Due to this, each character has their own distinct combat styles and special moves to explore.
Notable Non-Playable Characters

Unfortunately, several important figures in Age of Imprisonment remain non-playable. Meaning, despite being present in the game, you can’t take charge of their identity. Among these characters is Queen Soria, who is Rauru’s wife and Secret Stone of Time bearer.
Also, you can’t play the primary antagonist which is the Demon King himself, Ganondorf. Alongside, Lenalia, Rauru’s trusted attendant, remains unplayable throughout the game. Zelda’s franchise iconic hero, Link, is also absent from the playable list.
Conclusion
Whether a noble or a warrior, Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment provides you with an extensive characters roster. There are 19 diverse selections with multiple races and fighting styles to choose from. You can either explore the main story content or complete Scouting Challenges to unlock these characters.
