How to Get the River Otter in Adopt Me!

The River Otter is one of the pets available during Adopt Me!’s Summer Camp Event. Players can obtain this Rare pet by spending Acorns earned through seasonal activities, while a few alternative methods are also available for those who prefer hatching eggs or trading.

Here’s everything you need to know about getting the River Otter and upgrading it into its Neon and Mega Neon variants.

How to Get the River Otter

The River Otter can be purchased from the Summer Camp event area next to the Hospital.

Each River Otter costs 35,000 Acorns.

To earn Acorns, participate in the event’s limited-time activities, including:

  • Skydiving
  • Water balloon fights
  • Other Summer Camp challenges

If you’re aiming for a Mega Neon River Otter, you’ll need to purchase 16 River Otters, for a total cost of 560,000 Acorns.

Other Ways to Get the River Otter

In addition to buying the pet during the event, the River Otter can also be obtained by hatching certain eggs.

How to Get the Neon River Otter

Combining four Full Grown River Otters creates a Neon River Otter.

The Neon version features glowing orange accents on its:

  • Whiskers
  • Nose
  • Feet
  • Inner ears
  • Tail

After becoming Neon, the pet progresses through another six growth stages:

  • Reborn
  • Twinkle
  • Sparkle
  • Flare
  • Sunshine
  • Luminous

How to Get the Mega Neon River Otter

Once you have four Luminous Neon River Otters, you can combine them to create a Mega Neon River Otter.

The Mega Neon version retains the same glowing features as the Neon pet, but its whiskers, nose, feet, inner ears, and tail continuously cycle through the colors of the rainbow, making it one of the most eye-catching pets introduced during the Summer Camp Event.
