The easiest way to get Bronze Nails early in Graveyard Keeper 2 is to search Trash Piles and destroy Broken Barrels around your home and the Inquisitor’s base. Once you’ve unlocked Bronze Works and built a Wooden Anvil, you can also turn Bronze Scraps into Bronze Nails at a rate of six Nails per Scrap.
Bronze Nails quickly become an important crafting material because several early workstations and structures require them. Fortunately, you can start collecting them almost immediately without needing advanced technology.
Where to Find Bronze Nails
Start by exploring the area surrounding the Keeper’s new home.
Look for Broken Barrels and Trash Piles, which frequently appear together in small groups of two or three. Both can provide Bronze Nails, although you interact with them differently.
Equip an axe and destroy Broken Barrels to receive materials that can include:
- Bronze Nails
- Bronze Scraps
- Boards
Trash Piles don’t require the axe. Instead, search through them with the Keeper’s hands to find Bronze Nails and Bronze Scraps.
There are plenty of these resource spots around the Inquisitor’s base and the Keeper’s house. Continue exploring farther into the surrounding land and you’ll find additional piles and barrels. Some can also be found around the village.
Because these resources are available so early, searching the nearby environment should be your first option if you only need a handful of Nails for an initial construction project.
How to Craft Bronze Nails
Once you’ve progressed far enough, crafting becomes a more reliable way to obtain Bronze Nails.
First, open the Tech Tree and unlock Bronze Works, the initial Metallurgy technology. This gives you access to the Wooden Anvil.
Head to the Blueprint Table in the Keeper’s main Yard and build the anvil.
You’ll need:
| Material | Amount |
|---|---|
| Short Log | 1 |
| Stone | 1 |
The Short Log can be produced at a Sawhorse.
Once the Wooden Anvil is ready, you can use the Bronze Scraps you’ve collected from Broken Barrels and Trash Piles to make Nails.
How Many Bronze Nails Do You Get From Bronze Scrap?
The Wooden Anvil converts:
1 Bronze Scrap → 6 Bronze Nails
This makes Bronze Scraps particularly valuable during the opening hours. Even if you already have enough Nails for your current project, collect any Scrap you encounter because it can quickly be converted when you need more.
Later in Graveyard Keeper 2, additional materials such as Bronze Ingots can also be used when producing Bronze Nails.
What Are Bronze Nails Used For?
Bronze Nails are required for numerous early and mid-game crafting projects, so you’ll want to maintain a supply rather than only collecting them when a recipe blocks your progress.
Some of the important early structures requiring Bronze Nails include the Woodworking Workbench, Stonemason’s Workbench, Firewood Shed, and Hardening Bucket.
Since several of these facilities help expand your crafting capabilities, running out of Nails can slow down progression.
During the opening stages, thoroughly search the Broken Barrels and Trash Piles around your home and the Inquisitor’s base. Once you’ve unlocked Bronze Works, build a Wooden Anvil and save your Bronze Scraps so you can produce six Bronze Nails whenever you need another batch.
