With the playoffs concluding around the world, big questions are being raised about what is going to happen with the teams that didn’t make the playoffs or didn’t qualify for the World Championship. Some teams, including SEntinels, are already ready to go to Seoul for the World Championship, but teams such as NRG are blowing up their roster. Many rumors are emerging over the last few days about what exactly happened behind the scenes this season. The grand finals for every region in Valorant have concluded with some surprising results. Based on the winners, a seeded fixture is set to be scheduled for later today.
Victor’s Revelation
Victor reveals that it was not a management decision but potentially a player decision where he was dropped from the team, implying serious friction between himself and some of the players still on the roster. C also reveals why Mar and Demon were dropped at the midway point of the season.
International League Valorant Trophies & Results
Here are the trophies for the international leagues. The Americas trophy is on the top left-hand side, and it might be my favorite. The China and Pacific trophies are also nice. The NBA trophy design looks like it was 3D printed. There was talk about having more coherence across the different regions, suggesting the trophies should be more similar. Nonetheless, congratulations to these teams for their impressive results.
Fanatic’s Performance
From the Fanatic perspective, their ability to turn the season around is impressive. They go in as the EMA favorites, and while not the tournament favorites, they are certainly in the conversation with a 3-1 win over Vitality. The grand finals were comfortable, with Hero coming in for Leo. Although Leo’s return is expected, sometimes a change in environment is necessary.
Edward Gaming’s Grand Final Victory
In the Chinese finals, Edward Gaming won 3-2 over FPX. Death, taxes, and Edward Gaming winning their own region are constants. International performance remains a question.
Pacific & Americas Grand Final
In the Pacific, the championship grand final had spectacular graphics and a great crowd. DRX had an incredible result taking down Paper Rex, but Gen.G bounced back after a ridiculous overtime on Bind. and ended up wininng the tournament. In the Americas, Leviathan made it back to the grand finals by taking down KRU 3-2. Leviathan’s inconsistency and momentum-based performance make them confusing to predict. Leviathan beat G2 in the grand finals with a whopping 3-1 map takedown.
NRG’s Valorant Roster Changes
NRG is facing significant roster changes, with some players being dropped and rumors about others returning. Victor shared insights on why he was dropped, emphasizing team-based decisions over management decisions. This indicates a potential breakdown of trust or chemistry within the team. Marved’s situation and rumors about his commitment are noteworthy. Demon One, despite being a world champion last year, is also under scrutiny for his work ethic. The team may look to build around Demon One next year, possibly with a new coaching staff.
As of now, players have to wait to see how the roster mania works out in favor of everyone. Rumors suggest that not just NRG will make changes. Surprisingly, rumors also indicate that teams like EG and 100 Thieves will make changes. Despite their success this year, 100T failed to make it to Masters, so changes might be on the horizon soon enough.
