Lukov’s Hot Tea challenge in Genshin Impact sends Travelers racing across Fellfrost Peak to deliver warm drinks to three of his missing friends: Malkin, Morov, and Nalkin. The activity isn’t a formal quest and doesn’t unlock an achievement, but completing every delivery awards four chests, including a Precious Chest beside Lukov’s camp.
Where to Find Lukov in Genshin Impact
Lukov can be found southeast of the Fellfrost Peak Statue of the Seven.
After teleporting to the Statue, look for smoke rising into the sky. It marks the area where Lukov and his tent are located, making the camp relatively easy to identify from a distance.
Speak with Lukov to begin helping him.
How Lukov’s Hot Tea Challenge Works
The objective is to bring Hot Tea to each of Lukov’s three friends before the drink loses its heat. Once you pick up a cup, a temperature indicator appears at the top of the screen, effectively turning each delivery into a timed traversal challenge.
The basic process is:
- Pick up Hot Tea from Lukov.
- Use nearby Link Mechanisms to travel quickly.
- Reach Malkin, Morov, or Nalkin before the tea becomes cold.
- Give the Hot Tea to the character.
- Return to Lukov for another cup.
- Repeat until all three deliveries are complete.
The existing Link Mechanisms provide the fastest routes. If you’ve previously dismantled any useful structures in the area, you may need to construct replacements to complete the deliveries within the temperature limit.
How to Find Malkin
Take your first Hot Tea from Lukov and enter the nearby Link Mechanism. Continue straight along the route, then look toward the cliff above to locate Malkin.
Reach him before the tea cools and hand it over.
Successfully delivering Malkin’s tea spawns a Common Chest.
How to Find Morov
Head back to Lukov’s camp and collect another cup.
Use the Link Mechanism again and continue forward until you reach an area with a Cryoculus near another Link Mechanism. If you’ve already collected the Cryoculus, use the surrounding cliffside and nearby bear as landmarks instead.
The bear doesn’t need to be defeated, so you can ignore it if your priority is reaching Morov while the tea remains hot.
Give Morov his drink to receive an Exquisite Chest.
How to Find Nalkin
Nalkin can be the trickiest of the three because of the distance involved. Before starting the final timed delivery, it’s worth identifying his position and checking that you have a fast route available.
You may need to build an additional Link Mechanism to shorten the journey.
Once the route is prepared, return to Lukov, pick up the last Hot Tea, and use the Link Mechanisms to reach Nalkin as quickly as possible.
Delivering his tea while it’s still warm rewards you with another Exquisite Chest.
How to Get Lukov’s Precious Chest
After Malkin, Morov, and Nalkin have all received their Hot Tea, return to Lukov’s tent and speak with him again.
With all three friends safely accounted for, Lukov will thank the Traveler and unlock the Precious Chest beside his camp.
In total, completing Lukov’s challenge provides one Common Chest, two Exquisite Chests, and one Precious Chest. There may not be an associated achievement or conventional quest entry, but the collection of rewards makes this Fellfrost Peak activity well worth completing while exploring the area.
