Futties Prep Begins in FC 25 Summer Content (FUT Guide)

EA Sports kicked off the early summer phase in FC 25 with a pack-centric SBC grind that has FUT players already thinking ahead to Futties. The new 93+ Encore Icon Player Pick, despite its high rating, doesn’t offer much value in the current market. Most players are ignoring it in favor of cheaper and more enjoyable SBC options, such as the 1 of 10 Historical Player Pick.

Daily content drops, including Saturday’s Rush Flash Event, have continued, but the mode’s stagnant requirements are starting to wear thin. Many believe EA is missing a chance to turn Rush into something truly engaging—like a weekend tournament or leaderboard event—especially this late in the game cycle.

New Evolutions and SBC Highlights

The weekend EVO content brought a new Right Back to Basics Evolution. It’s a free path that transforms right-wingers or right mids into right backs, but the defensive boost is limited. It offers Rapid+, Long Ball+, and Jockey+—solid but lacking must-have styles like Intercept or Anticipate. Still, it’s free, so many players are slotting in options like Tima or other mid-tier attackers.

SBCs, however, remain the real summer grind fuel. The standout this weekend was the 84×10 Upgrade SBC, available five times daily. It costs an 85-rated squad with a TOTW or TOTS, which is an upgrade from last year’s 84-rated requirement, but fodder prices are low enough to make it viable.

This SBC is feeding fodder straight into the crafting loop. Even with average pack luck, most players are pulling enough 85s, 86s, and the occasional 88+ to complete multiple exchanges daily. This makes the 84×10 the current go-to method for sustaining your crafting grind.

Market Watch: Fodder, Shape Shifters, and Consumables

Fodder prices are slowly rebounding. Ratings like 87 and 88 have seen moderate rises (Gündoğan moved from 2.2K to 2.7K), while others like Kevin De Bruyne are oddly low—sitting around 5K. Team of the Season cards saw a slight uptick, and if EA requires them again in upcoming SBCs, they could climb further midweek.

The Shapeshifters Team 2 market has taken a hit post-Weekend League rewards. Top-tier icons and heroes like Ronaldinho or Hazard still draw attention, but even they’ve seen price drops. Futties re-releases are expected to inject more premium content soon, and prices may rebound—especially for rare picks.

An unexpected winner? Chemistry styles. Hawk, Anchor, and Engine chem styles are all fetching 4K to 5K. Players sitting on large quantities unknowingly have tens of thousands of coins unclaimed. Similarly, bronze rares and certain managers from BPM are still netting 400–500 coins per card—easy profit during this low gameplay window.

Best Menu Grind Method Right Now

Here’s the current optimal loop:

  • 82–83 Rated Cards: Go into 83+ Player Picks

  • 83–84 Rated Cards: Funnel into TOTW upgrades or minor exchanges

  • 85+ Rated Cards: Use in 87/88/89 exchanges or high-end SBCs

  • TOTW/TOTS/Shape Shifter Fodder: Plug into high-squad rating SBCs like the 84×10

From here, open 84×10 packs to regenerate your fodder cycle. If you’re lucky, you might even hit a Shapeshifter or promo icon along the way.

Keep an eye on high-value SBCs that are set to expire, like Modrić and De Bruyne, and be ready for new cards like the leaked Berbatov Shapeshifter, which will reportedly evolve from CB to CDM with strong playstyle upgrades.

This week, the FC 25 grind has truly shifted into high gear. Whether you’re stacking fodder for icon picks, preparing for the rumored 85×10 SBC, or just flipping chem styles and bronze rares for profit, there’s never been a better time to stay active in the menus.

The menu grind is cleaner, faster, and more rewarding than Team 1. Keep opening 83+ picks and 84x10s, recycle wisely, and watch the value stack up.
