Hook Epic Games has dropped the second major update for Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 4, and it’s a game-changer! The 31.20 update, which went live on September 17, 2024, introduced a wealth of new content to the popular battle royale. Iron Man returns to Fortnite with A Bang
Fortnite fans, rejoice! The iconic Marvel hero Iron Man is back, and he’s bringing some dazzling new tech with him. The update features the Iron Man Mark 45 skin, inspired by the MCU’s Age of Ultron. This new look is available in the Item Shop for 1,500 V-Bucks and comes with an Energy Collector Back Bling and Energy Blades pickaxes.
But that’s not all—Iron Man’s return includes a brand new Story Quest Line that gives players a chance to immerse into the Marvel universe. Plus, two new mythic items are making their debut: Iron Man’s Combat Kit and Iron Man’s Flight Kit. Six Stark Armories have been scattered across the map, offering Iron Man’s mythic weapons and War Machine’s Arsenal. The beloved Stark Industries Energy Rifle is also making a comeback in the loot pool.
Day of Doom: A New Challenge
Starting October 4th, Fortnite introduces the “Day of Doom” LTM. This new mode pits players against each other in a battle where teams are divided into two factions: Avengers vs. Doctor Doom. In this LTM, half of the players will wield Avengers-themed items, while the other half will utilize Doctor Doom’s arsenal.
When you activate the Doctor Doom transformation, you become substantially larger, gain the ability to fly. Following this is the ability to perform a ground pound, break builds, and unleash a series of powerful attacks. You’ll also enjoy 1,000 health and shield, along with a 200 siphon for each player you eliminate.
The Doctor Doom transformation is a rare feature, appearing in only about 5% of matches. It replaces the rift in the Point of Interest (POI) with Doom’s Cauldron. This allows only one player per match to harness this formidable power.
Fall Guys Crossover
In a surprising and fun twist, Fortnite is integrating the beloved party game Fall Guys into its Battle Royale mode. The update introduces a Fall Guys-themed obstacle course for players to navigate. You can also find a Fall Guys obstacle course near Classy Courts in Battle Royale mode.
For those who enjoy creating their own content, Fall Guys tools are now available in Creative mode. On the other hand, the minigun which was teased in the initial season trailer alongside the Fortnite X Fallout crossover, is now available in normal loot locations. While it may be a bit late to impact the current meta significantly, it’s a welcome addition for the final week of the season.
