Today’s Fortnite update brings a major map change with Utopia City partially destroyed and overtaken by bugs. The queen from Demon’s Debris can now spawn here or at her original location. A queen icon on the map will indicate her position, which alternates randomly each match. Defeating her drops the mythic OXR rifle and legendary slurp juice, maintaining the same loot pool as before. The updated Utopia City POI now features bug nests, destroyed buildings, and altered combat dynamics.
Roly Pulley and Helicopter Added (Fortnite Season 4 Update)
Two new vehicles are now live. The Roly Pulley, expected to be an inventory-based mobility item, is instead a drivable bug vehicle. It uses a charge-and-bounce mechanic: holding the aim or shoot button charges it up, releasing for a massive jump, and chaining midair bounces to move faster. While fun, it leaves players extremely vulnerable, as getting shot instantly ejects the driver.
The helicopter also returns, redesigned with slight visual updates but no built-in weapons. A major tweak allows seat swapping to activate hover mode, enabling side-seat shooting. However, there’s no protection for passengers, making this vehicle more suited for fast rotations than direct combat. Players receive glider redeploy when jumping out, preventing fall damage.
Air Strike and Exotic Weapons
The air strike item has been introduced, locking onto areas to unleash missile barrages. While effective in tight competitive zones, it’s limited and not overpowered due to loud alerts and scarce availability. Players can only obtain air strikes from weapon bunkers and rift drops in the fourth zone.
Three new exotic weapons have also been added:

Exotic Fury AR – Inherits mythic stats and grants a low-gravity effect after shooting.

Exotic Precision SMG – Marks enemies on hit, improving team coordination.

Exotic Shockwave Launcher – Launches enemies into the air, holding them briefly for easy targeting, acting more as an offensive disruption tool than mobility.
Older exotics like the Slap Fizz and Wrecker Revolver remain in the loot pool, though some, including the Double Trouble Shotguns and mythic OXR rifle, may now be rarer.
Other Changes in Today’s Update

Bug-Infested OXR Shops: Instead of eliminating 15 bugs, players now destroy two nests and two orange pods to earn the Vulture Boon, which highlights recent eliminations on the map. The Forecast Boon has been removed.

Gold POIs Adjusted: Loot levels from gold drones reverted to pre-season amounts, reducing healing supplies.

Crashed Train at Demon’s Debris: The train no longer moves and now serves as a loot hub with an OXR chest and super launch pad.

Free NPC Hires: Some NPCs trapped in orange pods can now be freed and hired without cost, giving teams extra support options.
Tips for the New Fortnite Update
With all these changes, strategies are shifting quickly. Utopia City now plays very differently, so staying aware of queen spawn rotations can secure early mythic loot. The Roly Pulley is great for fast movement, but avoid open spaces to reduce vulnerability. Helicopters are perfect for scouting or rotating late-game but risky for direct combat.
For weapons, prioritize the Precision SMG if possible since its enemy-marking ability benefits both solos and squads. The Shockwave Launcher is best used defensively to control space or displace opponents during build fights. And remember, the air strike is situational — save it for breaking structures or pressuring stacked endgame zones.
