Epic is slowly but surely shifting the meta from chaotic nitrous vehicles to something different. While guns are still pretty useless in the current meta, the introduction of new bosses and mythic items might just force Epic to cut down on the vehicle chaos. The brand-new Forntite event has started for the Pirates of the Caribbean collab, and it is amazing. New sound effects have been added with the latest update. Head to the location where Jack’s boat is to experience the new event. The sounds and atmosphere are both exciting and a bit scary.
SpongeBob X Fortnite Collaboration
A brand-new Fortnite Collaboration is coming, and it’s a SpongeBob collab. A tweet revealed Discord X SpongeBob SquarePants avatar decorations coming soon. This is the first look at the new SpongeBob collaboration, and it looks fantastic. There is a concept of a SpongeBob skin, with SpongeBob sitting on the shoulders of a bubble character. Expect characters like SpongeBob, Patrick, and locations like the Krusty Krab to appear in the game.
Kraken Sound Effects
Landing at the new location, the Kraken sound effects can be heard. The Kraken plays a significant role in the Pirates of the Caribbean movies. The boat at this location seems to be the one from the movies, adding to the immersive experience. Players have reported hearing Kraken sounds, and this live event is expected to happen before Chapter 5, Season 4.
Chapter 5 Season 4 Leaks
Chapter 5, Season 4 will be a Marvel season with new Marvel mythics. Dr. Doom is the main image for this season. The Invisible Woman Mythic has been confirmed, and there will be a lot of new content.
Return of Columbo
A huge update is coming on Tuesday, bringing back Columbo. Initially, he will appear in Lego mode, but there are hopes for his return in Chapter 5, Season 4.
New Season Details
The new season drops on August 16th. Expect to see Dr. Doom, the return of Stark Industries, and many old mythics. Fortnite Mares will be part of the season, with locations like Rebel Roost being transformed into Friday the 13th themes. Old mythics will return, and the season will lead into Chapter 2, OG.
The updates incoming for Fortnite are crucial for the developers to bring back lost players. While many players enjoy the new season, the majority of regular players have been trying out other modes in Fortnite and have shifted focus from the main battle royale game. The introduction of the nitro can seems feasible in no-build mode, allowing for better mobility. Unfortunately, it’s absolutely chaotic in the build mode. Removing the damage to structures might fix the issue, but for now, nitrous-fueled players knee-sliding in boxes is the meta.
All in all, the season has just under a month remaining, and Epic is working to normalize the game again. The upcoming collaborations will determine the mythic weapon meta, and a lot relies on what future updates bring to the island.
