What Changes During Fortnite Sonic Hours?
The main attraction is a temporary increase to Sonic Sprite drop rates. The boost applies to the Sonic Sprite and its variants, making the event particularly useful for players still trying to complete their collection.
The currently confirmed Sonic Hours changes are:
- Sonic Sprite drop rates are increased, including variants.
- Every player starts with Sonic Power Sneakers after leaving the Battle Bus.

Players primarily interested in Sonic Sprites should use the two-hour windows to prioritize Sprite hunting rather than waiting for their normal drop rates outside the event.
The increased rates also cover Sonic Sprite variants, so the Power Hours provide a better opportunity to target versions that have been difficult to find during regular Fortnite Override matches.
Meanwhile, the addition of Storm Scout Sprites to Chests and Sprite Cheat Codes creates another reason to search loot sources that players might otherwise skip while focusing exclusively on Sonic.
