Epic recommends joining Fortnite OG at approximately 1:55 PM ET / 5:55 PM UTC, five minutes before the scheduled start. Players will temporarily receive invincibility during the event, preventing eliminations from interfering with the spectacle.

What Happens During the Fortnite OG Final Showdown?
The event recreates one of Fortnite’s best-known live events, originally staged in July 2019. It centers on The Devourer, also known as the Monster, battling Mecha Team Leader as The Paradigm pilots the giant robot.
Fortnite OG events have closely followed their original versions, so the returning Final Showdown is expected to reproduce the same major sequence of events.
The Devourer first emerges from the ocean near Lazy Lagoon before moving across the island, destroying landmarks and attempting to access the Vault.
Mecha Team Leader then activates and confronts the creature, beginning the Monster vs. Mecha battle. The robot launches a missile barrage before the fight develops into a physical confrontation.
Who Wins Monster vs. Mecha Team Leader?
If the Fortnite OG version follows the 2019 event as expected, Mecha Team Leader defeats The Devourer.
During the original battle, the Monster initially gained the advantage. The Paradigm responded by reaching into the Vault and accessing the Zero Point, using its energy to knock The Devourer away.
Mecha Team Leader then pulled the statue from Neo Tilted and revealed it as a massive sword. After powering the weapon with Zero Point energy, the robot delivered the finishing strike against The Devourer.
The aftermath left two major reminders of the battle on the island: The Devourer’s enormous skull and Mecha Team Leader’s sword, positioned between Dusty Divot and Shifty Shafts.
