Fortnite Galactic Siege guide for Beskar, class picks, and upgrades

Fortnite Galactic Siege guide | Island code, 10v10 rules, class levels, and the smartest early upgrades if you care about permanent power more than cosmetics

Fortnite players are dropping into the massive new Star Wars Galactic Siege mode on island code 5003-9856-3648. Epic Games and epiclabs built a 10v10 conquest mode that tracks your stats, upgrades, and currency even after you close the game.

Fortnite Galactic Siege guide | How Beskar conversion works, when to play objectives over kills, and why Pilot is stronger on open maps than tight corridors

If you spend your first few hours buying the wrong items in the cantina hub, you will instantly fall behind the hardcore grinders who are maxing out their permanent combat stats. The mode assigns you randomly to the Empire or Rebel side at the start of each round. Your goal is to stand inside designated areas to capture control points and push your team’s progress bar to 100 percent.

Galactic Siege: Permanent Progression & Class Guide

Feature System / Item Tactical Priority Key Benefit
Currency Beskar (Permanent) High: Save for Stats. Permanently upgrades HP, Speed, and Damage.
Economy Credits (Round) Medium: Use for Vehicles. Unlocks AT-ATs, X-wings, and Bomber Runs.
Meta Class Pilot Top Tier Grants an X-wing/TIE and an emergency Jetpack.
Ability 1 Saber Forge Force Lightning / Throw Attaches an offensive power to your Lightsaber.
Ability 2 Force Mastery Force Push High utility; can knock enemies into “Dead Zones.”
Progression Bounty Board Critical Completing bounties is the fastest way to farm Beskar.
Traps Droid Shop Low: Avoid early game. Purely cosmetic; does not increase combat power.

We are breaking down the fastest Beskar farming routes, which classes dominate the two main maps, and how to build an overpowered custom Force user before the next live event drops.

Stop wasting time on kills and play the objective

The economy in Galactic Siege is split between temporary and permanent currencies. Credits only last for your current round and help you unlock heavy vehicle classes mid-match. You earn a flat 10 credits per enemy eliminated. Capturing a control point pays out 30 credits.

Beskar is the permanent currency that saves to your account forever. When the round ends, exactly 10 percent of your total earned credits automatically convert into Beskar.

Players are missing out on massive payouts by completely ignoring the bounty board. Before you jump into a match, go to the cantina and pick up specific missions like getting five eliminations or securing the round MVP title. These bounties are the absolute fastest way to afford permanent account upgrades. Do not just play for a high kill count. Rushing objectives pays triple the credits, which means a much larger Beskar conversion payout when the match finishes.

Map strategies and why the Pilot class is breaking the meta

The game currently features two very different maps that require completely different playstyles.

The first map is a massive frozen ice world featuring an Imperial Star Destroyer crashed right in front of a rebel base. If you run to the right of your spawn location on either side, you will find rideable Tauntauns. Use these mounts to rush the middle control points before the enemy team can set up defenses. You can also find stationary turrets scattered around the map to hold down choke points.

As you earn credits during a match, you unlock heavier classes. You can call in a Bomber Run or pilot a massive AT-AT to clear out enemy resistance. The Pilot class is currently dominating the competitive meta. You get to fly an X-wing or TIE fighter to secure the high ground. If your ship gets shot down, you have an emergency jetpack that lets you zoom around the map and saves you from falling damage.

The second map takes place entirely inside a Star Destroyer. This layout forces a much tighter, close-quarters battle.

How to build an overpowered custom Force user

The absolute best part of Galactic Siege is the custom Force user shop in the cantina. This is where you spend your hard-earned Beskar.

First, ignore the cosmetics and focus entirely on the core attributes menu. You can spend Beskar to permanently upgrade your base health, movement speed, and damage output. Maxing these stats out gives you a permanent mathematical advantage in every single gunfight.

Once your stats are upgraded, head to the lightsaber forge. You can pick specific hilts like Kylo Ren’s, change the blade color, and even add heavy arcing effects to make the beam look unstable. The real power comes from ability combinations. You can attach a free Force power directly to your lightsaber, like Saber Throw or Force Lightning.

Then, you can equip a second ability in your core Force Mastery slot, like Force Push or Force Pull. This gives you two distinct powers in every fight. If you are playing on the close-quarters Star Destroyer map, equipping Force Push is incredibly strong because you can physically launch enemy players out of the hangar doors and into space.

Max your class levels and ignore the Droid shop

As you play through matches, your different classes will level up independently on both the Empire and Rebel sides. The current level cap is 99 for each class.

You can show off your grind by unlocking calling cards and medals at the cantina station. Hover over the medals to see their exact requirements. The Disruptor medal requires you to neutralize 50 control points, while the Galaxy Traveler medal unlocks after you finish 25 complete rounds. These medals attach to your calling card so the player you just eliminated knows exactly who defeated them.

Right next to the calling card station is the Droid shop. You can customize a companion droid with over 1,900 different combinations of tops, bottoms, metallic alloys, and glowing effects. Do not spend your early Beskar here. Save all your currency for combat stats first.

Always keep an eye on the live event countdown in the progression tab. Every few hours, a special game mode triggers that lets everyone select their custom Force user for free without spending round credits. Epic also teased a massive update featuring Mandalorian content coming in a few weeks, so you want your character fully upgraded before those tougher lobbies drop.
