Forsaken Vow Blade is one of the most exciting seasonal weapons released alongside Fortnite Chapter 7: Pacific Break. This took inspiration from Kill Bill’s iconic katana for close-range combat in the current season. Here’s how you can get the new Forsaken Vow Blade in Fortnite!

What is the Forsaken Vow Blade?

This latest melee weapon addition aligns with the ongoing Kill Bill collaboration for Chapter 7 Season 1! It is a katana-style weapon that shares similarities with previous melee items like Typhoon Blade from Chapter 6. Unlike previous releases, Forsaken Vow Blade focuses purely on combat effectiveness than mobility enhancements.

Also, this weapon operates on a durability system so they won’t last forever. For each time you use the blade, the durability bar also decreases. Once it depletes, the weapon will disappear from your inventory. So make sure every strike count as it has limited lifespan after obtaining.

Where to Find the Forsaken Vow Blade

Before you locate the Forsaken Vow Blade, you’ll need to find Forsaken Vow Rift Gates which are special portals. You’ll see these mystical gateways spread throughout the Chapter 7 island, similar to the Star Wars rifts. Once you get close enough, the gates began to appear on your map.

To obtain the blade, do these steps:

    1. Approach the Forsaken Vow Rift Gate then interact with it.
    2. This portal will transport you briefly and adding the Forsaken Vow Blade in your inventory upon exit.
    3. Also, three Kill Bill enemies will spawn alongside which are Gogo, Crazy 88 Henchment, and Yuki.
    4. Get additional loot by defeating these opponents to complete related quests like hitting opponents with Vengeance Dash and named bosses.
    5. However, the Rift Gate locations weren’t fully documented yet.

How to Use the Forsaken Vow Blade

After acquiring Forsaken Vow Blade, you’ll get three distinct attack types that suit different combat scenarios. Mastering these abilities will help you maximize its potential during battle.

Ability

Description

Song of Steel

This basic attack involves standard melee strikes, chaining them together for continuous damage. It is effective for sustained close-quarters pressure as each hit delivers 35 damage. Chaining these attacks will let you overwhelm opponents who get too close.

Falling Blossom

It transforms your primary attack into a devastating downward strike. It lets you deal 70 damage, doubling the effect of standard attack. Also, it completely negates fall damage which makes it perfect for aggressive plays from high ground.

Vengeance Dash

Let you charged ranged melee attack that you can activate using the aim button. This move launches you forward while delivering 35 damage and knocking your opponents back. It serves as both offensive and defensive utility so you can close gaps quickly or create distance.

Take note that the Vengeance Dash operates through a charge system where you can use it for three times. Each charge gives you 10-second cooldown before regenerating, making it crucial during extended fights. This ability also eliminates fall damage like Falling Blossom to add another layer of mobility.

Combat Tips and Strategies

This weapon particularly standout during close-quarters engagement, providing high damage output to quickly eliminate opponents. You can use the Vengeance Dash to close distances rapidly or escape dangerous situations once your shield gets low. Try combining the aerial attacks with Falling Blossom as well for surprise damage from above.

Its 70-damage strike can instantly put pressure on your opponents, forcing them into defensive positions. Also, remember that management is key so avoid wasting your swings on structures or unnecessary targets.

Final Thoughts

Fortnite Chapter 7 expands their melee weapon roster by introducing Forsaken Vow Blade. This Kill Bill inspired weapon provides you high damage output, quickly eliminating your opponents. Remember where to find these Rift Gates and how you can execute each attack type.
