The Fortnite FNCS Global Championship kicked off with a $2 million LAN event. Two major players were disqualified ahead of the tournament. One of the disqualified players, Eomzo, lost his chance to compete due to his chaperone, Faxuty, being inappropriate on an IRL stream. This led to a series of controversies involving top players like Clix and Veno, who are being contested in the tournament. The $250,000 tournament also brought unexpected twists.

Disqualification of Eomzo and Faxutys’ Role in the Incident
Eomzo will no longer participate in the FNCS Global Championship. He originally qualified alongside his teammate Turtle, but Turtle was unable to attend, leading Eomzo to team up with Yzo. Despite Eomzo’s strong performance with Yzo and his teammate Chiefs during practice, he faced disqualification. Rumors suggested that Faxuty’ inappropriate behavior during an IRL stream contributed to the decision. While Faxuty wasn’t attempting to bribe players, he was involved in creating drama, especially with Clix, which escalated the situation.
The issue revolves around the legal guardian form. Since Yzo is a minor, his chaperone had to complete and sign paperwork. Unfortunately, Yzo mistakenly filled out the form stating that Faxuty was his legal guardian, not just his chaperone. This mix-up left Epic Games liable for anything that might happen to Yzo. As a result, both Faxuty and Yzo were removed from the event, leading to further complications.
More FNCS Disqualifications
Middle Eastern player Wazy also faced disqualification before the start of the FNCS Global Championship. Wazy, who was attending with his father as his legal guardian, was kicked out of the hotel following suspicions raised by hotel staff. Although nothing suspicious was found, both Wazy and his father were asked to leave. This bizarre situation led to Wazy’s disqualification from the event, leaving his teammate Crispy without a partner.
With Crispy now playing alongside Chiefs, the spot left vacant by the disqualifications was filled by Visuals and Braids, two players who did not qualify but are now competing in the event. This situation highlights the complex and unexpected nature of Fortnite FNCS events. These disqualifications came in as a surprise to Epic. The sudden inclusion of Visuals and Braids, as well as changes in team formations, have reshuffled the competition. Visuals and Braids are now contesting King and Phazer, one of the strongest teams from Brazil, and five-time FNCS champion King is now facing new challengers.
Meanwhile, Clix and Veno are also facing new threats. Oceania team Resigns and Demo, who have claimed the same drop spot, are now contesting Clix and Veno. While Clix and Veno were expected to perform well, this contest has added an extra layer of difficulty for them.
The $250,000 New Zealand Event
On a lighter note, a $250,000 Fortnite LAN event in New Zealand had some unexpected results. The tournament, which only had 50 participants, was run in the regular game mode, allowing players to access powerful mythic weapons. This resulted in one player, Falcon, securing victory after taking control of the Doom Mythic in the final game. Although the prize pool ended up being $140,000, Falcon walked away with $35,000.
Despite the chaos, this victory provided a humorous and entertaining end to what has been a dramatic series of events in the world of Fortnite FNCS.
