The new Fortnite (Eminem-themed) update brings a new Point of Interest (POI) called “Mom Spaghetti Grotto,” a unique twist to Fortnite’s map. Located between Retail Row and Dirty Docks, it reimagines the classic Grotto POI as a Mom’s Spaghetti-themed restaurant. Inside, players will encounter guards, faction agency chests, and an Eminem boss who drops a Mythic minigun and a key card to the vault upon elimination. The vault, like others, contains a wealth of agency and rare chests, offering players high-tier weapons, healing items, and utility essentials.
Mythic Minigun: Eminem’s Unique Fortnite Weapon
The Mythic minigun, dropped by the Eminem boss, boasts an impressive fire rate but does not have first-shot accuracy. This weapon continuously draws from light ammo reserves, so players don’t need to reload, though it will eventually overheat after about 12 seconds of use. The minigun’s high fire rate makes it an excellent tool for breaking down structures, builds, and dealing damage to vehicles. Competitive players often use it to gain high ground and apply pressure on opponents from above.
While the minigun offers strong firepower, it also plays Eminem’s lyrics when fired. Though some players find this feature amusing, others may find it distracting. For those in the latter group, muting licensed audio in the settings can turn off the lyrics while keeping gameplay sounds intact.
Choppa Helicopters Return
Choppa helicopters have returned to the game. Initially intended for this update, they appeared briefly at the start of the season, but Epic Games quickly removed them. Now, several helipads around the map, especially near boss locations and the Weather Station, serve as launch points for the Choppa. While flying vehicles add a unique rotational option, the game’s current abundance of rifts might reduce the need for them.
Bolt-Action Snipers and Suppressed SMG Changes (Fortnite Eminem Update)
The bolt-action sniper rifle is now available in all rarities, increasing its presence in the loot pool. The common sniper rifle can’t achieve one-shot kills in zero-build modes on max-health opponents, given that its headshot damage caps at 248. The suppressed SMG has also returned, and the grenade launcher and standard minigun were unvaulted, though they appear less frequently.
AUG Burst Rifle Sound Bug Fix
A recent audio bug affecting the purple and gold AUG burst rifles caused an inaccurate burst sound, making the weapon feel slow and clunky. To address this, Epic Games replaced the purple and gold AUG with the FAMAS model, ensuring consistent audio performance without altering weapon stats or gameplay.
Increased Chest Spawn Rate
This update also boosts chest spawn rates, making it easier for players to find loot, shields, and utility items. Though not set to 100%, the higher spawn rate should improve gameplay, providing better access to essential items across the map. For players looking to maximize loot in this Eminem-themed update, targeting POIs with faction chests, like the new Mom Spaghetti Grotto, ensures better access to high-tier weapons and utility items. Take advantage of the boosted chest spawn rates and minigun’s fire rate for dominating opponents and builds.
