Now they sell instantly for lower prices, and as a result, SBCs have become significantly cheaper.
A Kevin De Bruyne SBC that recently cost 1.4 million coins can now be completed for closer to 1.1 million. Meanwhile, the 82×20 SBC has dropped from 35,000 coins to around 20,000 due to lower 86-rated fodder prices. While investors in high-rated fodder may have taken a loss, players can now use those same cards to flip bids and generate fast profits.
SBC Mistake, Correction, and EVO Elite Cup Changes
EA made a key mistake in the Evo Elite Cup description, promising two playstyle+ EVOs with a 96 overall cap. However, the actual in-game cap was 94, prompting EA to quietly edit the objective description. Instead of honoring the original promise, EA doubled down on its coding, creating frustration among players who had expected higher-tier rewards.
Still, players have seen value in recent SBCs like the 83+ player picks, which are offering better odds than the older 82+ versions. These packs consistently provide 85+ cards needed for crafting, and combining them with the crafting upgrade objective is still a viable method.
Evolution Leak: Striker to Center Back Conversion
A new evolution is expected soon, possibly today. It involves converting strikers into center backs with playstyle upgrades like Anticipate, Jockey, and Bruiser. However, the cap is just 92 overall, and defensive stat boosts may not be strong enough to make the cards viable.
The community is divided. Cards like Haaland and Vieri might benefit from the upgrade, but attackers with playstyle+ traits like Finesse Shot could become awkward fits as center backs. Hudlin is another possible fit, but with only 27 defending, he may require chained evolutions to be effective.

This new liquidity has also driven up prices of high-tier cards. Team of the Season (TOTS) and Shape Shifters like Harry Kane and Ødegaard spiked as players finally had coins to spend. Some investors are now flipping elite cards like Alise and Mall on small swings between bid prices and peak demand.
