FC 26 Hero Pack SBC: Should You Invest in Fodder?

It’s wild that FC 26 is already starting with a pack of this level. The first Hero Pack SBC leak has landed, and it’s stirring up plenty of discussion. Should fodder be bought ahead of time? Should heroes that are sliding in price be picked up? The Max 86 Base Hero Pack is the center of attention, and its rumored price point of around 60K coins is raising eyebrows. Compared to last year’s cost of 115K+, this is surprisingly cheap, which makes it tempting for many to complete.

The Hero Pack leak comes at a time when the market is already feeling unstable. Hero cards like Tim Howard, Dirk Kuyt, and Peter Crouch are seeing dips because of the expected pack supply, while higher-tier names like Al-Owairan, Robbie Keane, and Gervinho might present rebound opportunities after the initial crash. With every base hero offering a PlayStyle+, this SBC could reshape a lot of starting squads in the opening weeks of FC 26.

The Gauntlet Objective and Another Bug

Alongside the Hero Pack news, Gauntlet mode continues to create both excitement and frustration. The mode itself has been fun—three games per day with different squads forces variety and tactical thinking. However, the “Perfect Round” objective that unlocks Kudos bugged again, rewarding some players after just two wins and leaving others stuck without their cosmetic evolution card.

Despite the bug, Gauntlet rewards have been solid. Extra packs and upgrades like the 84×2 and 85+ player packs make it worth completing. Many players are adjusting squad-building strategies by rotating bench slots with silvers or bronzes, ensuring key cards can be used across multiple squads.

SBC Content: Nico Paz and Fodder Moves

Another talking point has been Nico Paz’s SBC. On paper, his passing and dribbling stand out, but weaker balance, reactions, and shot power hold him back. At four squads and around 33K coins, he’s affordable, but with Hero Packs looming, many players are saving their fodder instead.

The unlimited 77 double upgrade SBC has also been a grind option, though players are split on whether it’s worth burning through their clubs. Some strong pulls are possible, but many prefer to reserve their fodder for higher-value SBCs.

Market Reactions Since Launch Day

The market has been volatile in the wake of leaks. Fodder like 86s moved from 5K to 6K in a single day, with expectations of more climbs if the Hero Pack really hits at 60K. However, 88s seem less likely to rise significantly unless higher-rated squads are required.

The standout market story, though, has been Claudia Pina’s 86-rated card. Extinct at 10K before a price update, she spiked to 35K, then pumped all the way to 90K before crashing back down to the 30s. It’s one of the wildest pump-and-dump cycles seen this early in the game.

With weekend league approaching and Hero Pack hype dominating discussion, caution is the word for investors. The SBC will drain coins and push down player prices, so holding off on major buys could save a lot of losses.
