FC 25’s Best Pack Grind Yet: Endgame Exchange Method Guide

EA  has reintroduced the long-awaited FC 25 Exchange SBCs, and this time it’s bigger than ever. These Squad Building Challenges allow players to submit four cards of the same overall rating—starting from 85 and up to 89—to unlock massive packs with incredible rewards. Whether you’re after Shape Shifters or just want to build club depth, this method can help you rip through unlimited packs with strategic grinding.

This return marks the first time in FC 25 that exchanges are grouped. Instead of submitting just a single card like last year, players now need four of the exact required rating. For example, you can’t submit a 90-rated card into an 89-rated exchange. Each tier—85, 86, 87, 88, and 89—has its own requirements and corresponding pack rewards. All of these support other SBCs and help complete larger squad objectives.

How to Start the FC 25 Exchange Grind

You’ll find the exchanges under the “Upgrades” section. Each exchange requires four players of a specific rating. For instance:

  • 85-rated Exchange → 20 Rare Gold Players (75+)

  • 86-rated Exchange → 20 Rare Gold Players (81+)

  • 87-rated Exchange → 20 Rare Gold Players (82+)

  • 88-rated Exchange → 20 Rare Gold Players (83+)

  • 89-rated Exchange → 50 Players (10 guaranteed 84+, 1 guaranteed 85+)

This cycle is the core loop. Submit your fodder to one level, open the packs, collect higher-rated players, and move up the ladder. The new grouped format means players must be precise with their upgrades and more strategic than ever when managing club inventory.

Building Packs from Scratch

Starting from scratch? Begin with the 85-rated exchange. You can buy four 85-rated cards for around 3,000 coins each, making it roughly 12K to kick things off. From this, you get a 75+ Rare Gold player pack. Even one walkout sets you up to build toward higher-rated SBCs.

Use fodder pulled from your exchange packs in crafting upgrades like:

  • 83+ Player Picks

  • TOTS/TOTW Upgrades

  • 855 Combo SBCs

This is where the grind pays off. Every duplicate or low-end card you pack can slot into these auxiliary upgrades, which then funnel right back into more exchanges. It’s a full-circle grind with no waste—everything contributes to a pack, an SBC, or another upgrade.

Why This Method is Meta Again

Exchanges have always been beloved for one reason: they make FC grindable. The format allows nearly unlimited pack access without excessive spending. With smart crafting, you can turn cheap low-rated cards into high-end exchanges and, eventually, top-tier rewards.

The most valuable part of this cycle isn’t just the packs—it’s the freedom. Every pack opens up opportunities to complete even more exchanges, and every card finds value. Whether you need TOTS fodder, walkouts for SBCs, or just want to test pack luck for Shape Shifters, this system makes it possible with minimal coin investment.

FC 25 Exchange Method

FC 25 has finally delivered what many players missed all season—an unlimited, repeatable grind that rewards both casual players and pack grinders. While the grouped exchange format does make it harder than last year, the value and flexibility are worth it.

All you need is four cards to get started. From there, everything connects: SBCs feed exchanges, and exchanges feed SBCs. If you play it smart and manage your dupes, you can keep the cycle going for as long as the promo lasts.
