This Evolution is restricted to the striker position, which really limits its full potential. Yes, the playstyles it grants—like Aerial+, Press Proven+, and Poacher+—are clearly designed for attacking players. But come on… imagine throwing a big, strong center-back into this EVO and giving them 99 physical. That would’ve been epic.

The Ruud Gullit EVO Debate
Now, the name on everyone’s lips: Ruud Gullit. People are seriously debating whether to evolve his 90-rated base Icon in this new Evolution instead of completing his expensive SBC.
Let’s be honest though—the SBC version is still superior. Yes, this EVO gives 99 physical and some interesting PlayStyles like:

But it misses key traits that make Gullit elite in midfield, like Pinged Pass and Intercept. So unless you’re planning to use Gullit strictly as a striker, the 94-rated Dreamchaser SBC version is still the clear winner. That one gives massive boosts in passing, dribbling, and defense, plus three PlayStyle+ traits, making it a dominant all-around option.
Also, let’s be real—how many players actually have that 90 Gullit just chilling in their club? Sure, there’s an SBC available, but again—it’s a big investment, and if you’re doing it just to use this EVO, you might be better off saving up for the top-tier version.
Other TOTS EVO Chains Heating Up
One of the wildest surprises in the current EVO meta is Jamie Carragher. I actually skipped his SBC, and now I 100% regret it. Thanks to EVO chains, Carragher is suddenly meta, especially when paired with the Backline Boss Evolution—which EA gave out for free, and we still don’t know why.
