FC 25 Dreamchasers: The Evolution Hype That Crashed the Market!

Evolutions have taken over FC 25 and become the standout feature of the Dreamchasers promo. A single leak triggered a massive rush as players prepared for a new center defensive mid Evolution. However, what was anticipated to be another overpowered upgrade fell short of expectations. The hype wasn’t entirely the fault of the leaker, and there’s a lot to unpack from what unfolded—especially market price shifts and investment takeaways.

FC 25 Dreamchasers Content Recap and Rush Objective Refresh

Tuesday’s content didn’t bring game-breaking updates, but the new weekly Rush objective refresh offered something for consistent grinders. The same 84×7 and 83×5 packs returned. If you’re grinding Rush for these rewards, note that the “Chase Your Dream” Flash Rush event offers double Rush points. Many have stopped playing Rush regularly, but those still using it to complete Evolutions or playing in squads might benefit from this limited boost.

In SBCs, we finally received the first special Rafa Marquez card of the year. Despite arriving late in March, it’s a good value SBC with only three squads (84, 85, and 85 rated). Whether you’re doing it for fodder, La Liga links, or national pride, it’s hard to argue against completing it. Especially with all the fodder handed out in the recent 84×5 and 83×14 upgrades.

Upgrade Packs, Glitches, and Market Reactions

Speaking of upgrades, Tuesday also introduced the 83×14 pack requiring an 84-rated squad and a TOTW. It’s available three times daily and offers great fodder returns. Meanwhile, the 82+ (2 of 5) player pick was underwhelming. One instance even glitched, offering six picks instead of five. It was an odd but funny bug some players encountered.

TOTWs began rising slightly, especially if bought at 12k—they climbed to 14-15k depending on how aggressively players listed them. With only one upgrade pack requiring informs, the rise wasn’t extreme. However, if upcoming SBCs (like Rafa Marquez) require more TOTWs, these could still appreciate further. Hype Around the CDM Evolution and the Fallout

Let’s talk Evolutions. The leaked CDM Evo created an incredible stir, with tweets pulling nearly a million views. Names like Pedri and Casemiro circulated, and expectations soared for a game-changing Evolution. Cards like Vitinha spiked from 88k to 120k. Even high-end icons like Vieira jumped from 1M to 1.5M. Investors rushed in without waiting for full confirmation.

But reality hit hard. The Evo didn’t live up to the leaks. It capped at 89-rated players and didn’t offer the hyped-up boosts people expected. Many popular cards didn’t even qualify. The result? A brutal market crash. Vitinha dropped back below his original price. Joao Gomez sank from 51k to 36k. Marchisio’s base version crashed, only to recover after content dropped.

What’s Next for FC 25 Dreamchasers?

Despite the disappointment, the Evolution isn’t completely useless. It’s free, offers decent playstyle upgrades, and fits well into Evo chains. For example, RTTK Thuram and Houssem Aouar benefit nicely. Players with existing Evo setups can use this as a functional stepping stone.

Going forward, look at cards that consistently trend with Evolutions—players like Theo Hernandez, high-rated fullbacks, and meta midfielders. Even some TOTWs going out of packs like Bruno Fernandes or Frimpong may hold future value in Evolutions. Not every investment needs to be immediate; create a mental shortlist of cards that could rise when the right Evo hits.

High-rated fodder is another area to monitor. 91s to 93s dipped slightly post-content, but with rumors of a massive Dreamchasers SBC this weekend, they could spike again. Buy cautiously, especially with another promo, Immortals, set to follow. Fodder could drop sharply next week.

The past 24 hours in FC 25 delivered a wild rollercoaster for traders and Evolution fans. The core lesson? Stay grounded when hype surges, especially with leaker-driven narratives. Evolutions remain the heart of Dreamchasers, but not every leak leads to profit. Sometimes, the best move is selling into the storm before it turns into a loss.
