Farming Simulator Signature Edition Release Date Confirmed for Switch 2

Farming Simulator Signature Edition is coming to Nintendo Switch 2 on December 9, giving fans a console-ready experience built on the same foundation as Farming Simulator 25. Giant Software confirmed the launch alongside new screenshots, pricing details, and gameplay information. The Signature Edition isn’t a mobile port — it’s a standalone version fine-tuned for Nintendo’s next-generation handheld.

Farming Simulator Signature Edition Release Date and Price

The game officially launches on Tuesday, December 9, exclusively for Nintendo Switch 2, priced at $60 USD. That’s the same cost as the desktop version of Farming Simulator 25, but the Signature Edition includes all content upfront since Nintendo consoles don’t use separate DLC packs. Players can pre-order through the official Nintendo website, though regional availability still varies.

The game file size is 21.8 GB, leaving plenty of storage room even on the base Switch 2. Supported modes include TV, tabletop, and handheld play, but only single-system gameplay is available — no multiplayer support at launch. It’s a slight disappointment for those hoping to farm cooperatively, but this mirrors past console versions.

Equipment, Maps, and Features in Farming Simulator Signature Edition

The new edition is built directly on Farming Simulator 25’s foundation, featuring over 400 authentic machines from more than 150 brands, including Mercedes-Benz, Deutz-Fahr, Kubota, and Farmtech. Screenshots show the Kabota M8, Farmtech trailers, and the Actros L truck hauling logs and containers. Horses return as well, alongside newly confirmed baby cows, adding more variety to livestock management.

Players can explore three maps:

  • Riverbend Springs (North America)

  • Zilanka (Europe)

  • Utampent Thai (East Asia)

Each environment supports diverse crops, production chains, and vehicle operations. Rice paddies are visible in gameplay captures, hinting at regional farming systems like water-based crop cultivation. The Agri Sprayer, Ero Grape Liner harvester, and IT Runner equipment are all featured, reaffirming that the game includes core features from FS25’s lineup.

Touchscreen, HDR, and Technical Improvements

One surprising addition is HDR support, enhancing the color and lighting fidelity on Switch 2’s display. The game also acknowledges the console’s touchscreen, though it’s unclear how deeply it integrates. Farming Simulator traditionally avoids touchscreen mechanics, but this could open possibilities for simple interactions — such as tapping the dog to pet it or managing UI elements more intuitively.

Supported languages include English, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, Russian, Dutch, Spanish, and both Simplified and Traditional Chinese. Cloud saves are supported via Nintendo Switch Online, and players can use family group lending for account sharing.

Why Farming Simulator Signature Edition Won’t Be on Mobile

Despite some speculation, Farming Simulator Signature Edition won’t release on mobile devices. This follows the same pattern seen with Farming Simulator Nintendo Switch Edition, which was based on FS17 and arrived before Farming Simulator 18 launched on mobile. Giants Software appears to be repeating that strategy — releasing a console-specific version first, followed by a separate mobile entry likely titled Farming Simulator 26.

So, while this edition shares DNA with FS25, it stands as its own platform experience tailored for Switch 2 users. The absence of mods, precision farming, and multiplayer may limit long-term depth, but the complete content package and portable playability give it a unique edge in the franchise’s lineup.
