Fortnite’s final week for the season includes a huge content drop. The end of the season will most likely see all nitro elements vaulted, including the nitro can and all nitro vehicles. The Fall Guys x Fortnite update should be the final content drop for Chapter 5, Season 3. The first topic to discuss is the Fall Guys component of this update. Players can now publish and play Fall Guys creative islands and maps in Fortnite, essentially experiencing Fall Guys within Fortnite.
Fall Guys x Fornite Collab
There’s also a Battle Royale component, featuring a Fall Guys obstacle course that offers loot upon completion. This course is located outside Classy Courts, where players will find a Fall Guys statue on the map. Interacting with this statue teleports players into the Fall Guys map, turning them into a Fall Guys bean. The quality of loot received depends on performance in the obstacle course. Completing it within the initial timer grants gold loot, while taking longer results in lesser loot.
Once the Fall Guys obstacle course is completed, players redeploy using their glider and can choose where to land, with the loot accompanying them. This prevents camping at the course exit, allowing a safer loot collection strategy.
Medallion vs. Fall Guys Fortnite Obstacle Course
While the Fall Guys obstacle course provides decent loot, some players might prefer obtaining the unlimited Nitro Medallion for unlimited sprint and Nitro throughout the game. This preference might make the obstacle course a secondary choice.
Minigun Addition
This update also introduces the minigun, a highly anticipated item since the season’s start. The minigun remains unchanged from its past versions, retaining its hit scan functionality without bullet drop, bullet travel time, or attachments. It has blue, purple, and gold versions with respective damage of 19, 20, and 21. Despite low damage, its high fire rate compensates. The minigun’s main drawbacks are accuracy and a spin-up animation before firing.
Combining the minigun with the Ring Master Scar Medallion, which offers unlimited ammo, creates a powerful combination. However, even without the Medallion, players can find enough ammo in the game to use the minigun effectively. It performs well in both build and zero build modes.
Nitro Gloves NPC Added
The update also adds an operator NPC at the junkyard outside Reckless Railway, selling Nitro gloves for 300 gold. She has a limited stock of two, so players should act quickly to obtain them.
Live Event Timer Added?
A potential live event is expected to conclude the season. A countdown timer at Brutal Beachhead indicates the event, likely set for Saturday at 2 PM Eastern Time. Leakers suggest this event will be a step up from previous mini-events but not as significant as major past events like Fracture or the Big Bang. Player expectations should be managed accordingly.
Reload Loot Pool Changes
Minor changes to the reload loot pool include the vaulting of the Thunder shotgun, Stinger SMG, infantry rifle, and heavy AR. Unvaulted items are the charge shotgun, rapid fire SMG, burst AR, and lever action rifle. The lever action rifle remains unpopular, while the charge shotgun is effective but polarizing. The rapid fire SMG and burst AR are decent, but their usage depends on personal preference and strategy.
