F1 25 Season 3 Haas Challenges Explained

F1 25’s Season 3 live-service update centers around the Haas F1 Team, celebrating a decade of racing with two unique liveries and new challenge scenarios. The update also refreshes F1 World with a new interface featuring a redesigned side-pod layout. Both challenges reward players with new liveries and helmets, but the standout addition is being able to use these designs in Career Mode, adding a personal touch to team racing

Haas 200th GP Livery – Austria Challenge

The first challenge takes place at Austria’s Red Bull Ring, where Haas achieved one of its best results in 2018. Playing as Ollie Bearman, the task is to climb from P9 to P4 in just nine laps. The setup adds a strategic twist: competitors run mixed tire compounds, with drivers like Fernando Alonso and Lance Stroll on hards, while Bearman starts on mediums.

Limited race time forces careful management of DRS and battery deployment. The player’s focus shifts between overtaking and defending from faster cars, including Max Verstappen, who closes in quickly after a pit stop. The challenge mirrors Haas’s real-life underdog status, demanding smart timing and precise racing. Finishing fourth unlocks the Canada 200th GP Livery, a nod to the team’s 200th Grand Prix celebrated earlier this year in Montreal. The red-and-white design pays homage to Haas’s early seasons and looks great in Career Mode.

Suzuka Cherry Blossom Livery – Japan Scenario

The second scenario honors the Suzuka Grand Prix, tasking players to match Romain Grosjean’s famous 2016 performance. Driving as Haas’s new signing Simon, the goal is to push from P10 to a podium finish on fresh soft tires under a Virtual Safety Car. The field ahead runs on worn mediums and hards, forcing aggressive overtakes through tight corners.

Each lap becomes a sprint, closing gaps to Carlos Sainz, Alexander Albon, and Yuki Tsunoda. The scenario shines with its late-race tension — perfectly timed DRS use, tire management, and battery control are key. The last-lap dive past Lewis Hamilton secures third place and unlocks the Japan Cherry Blossom Livery, a stunning pink floral design representing the team’s creative side. This design works beautifully in both single-player and online Career Modes.

F1 World and Seasonal Progression Updates

Season 3 refreshes F1 World, adding subtle visual updates and smoother navigation. Each livery challenge ties into the returning Pro Challenge events later in the season. While the two main scenarios are brief, they offer a genuine test of skill compared to the easier events from previous seasons such as the “Hamilton China” and “Antony Miami” challenges.

However, the limited number of scenarios per season remains a sticking point. With only two, many fans feel the live-service model could deliver more — perhaps four scenarios per season — to make the grind feel more rewarding. The addition of tactical depth and realistic tire wear shows that Codemasters is listening to feedback, but there’s still room for growth.
