Fortnite Season 4 introduces the second Marvel collaboration, bringing exciting updates from the battle pass to mythics to POIs. The release is set for August 16th. Epic has added content to the files early, leading to leaks about the highly anticipated character, Gwenpool. Her appearance in Fortnite is confirmed, with a Lego helmet and cape spotted. The season’s main villain won’t be someone like Galactus; instead, players will have to contend with Dr. Doom. Although he appeared in the last Marvel season, this time, he returns to take over the story and fight the Fantastic Four. Su Storm, The Invisible Woman, joins the battle pass, though this could also be the White Queen, Emma Frost. Doctor Strange may also return, either as an updated version or a completely new variant.
Fortnite Season 4 New Battle Pass Structure
Epic Games has announced a major change: the Season 4 battle pass will not be exclusive. This means that in the future, every cosmetic could be sold in the item shop. They made this change to allow players to purchase fan-favorite collaborations that were previously unavailable, like Iron Man and Mystique. By 2026, Season 4 battle pass skins will be available in the item shop.
Fortnite Season 4 Leaks and Teasers
Leaks have revealed much about this Marvel season, including Dr. Doom’s involvement. A picture taken from the cover of Fantastic Four issue 700 shows Doom surrounded by the Thing, Reed Richards, and Su Storm, along with a host of Avengers. Marvel dropped a bombshell at Comic-Con when Doom unmasked himself as Robert Downey Jr., significantly increasing the hype for his role as the season’s villain. Doom might already be on the map, as players have reported encounters with a mysterious villain known as The Wanderer. Magneto may provide clues about The Wanderer’s identity, while Agent Jones hints that this character could have been the iconic Marvel villain all along.
Doom Castle and New Concepts
An Epic Games employee revealed concept art for an unreleased POI known as Doom Castle, which likely evolved into Doom’s Domain. Fans hope this incredible location will come to life in Fortnite Season 4. Additionally, concept art of a Tony Stark time travel platform was shared, though the Stark Rift Beacons were ultimately used instead. However, this concept may appear in the next season, possibly taking players back to Fortnite OG Chapter 2.
Map Changes and Lego Fortnite Updates
Season 4 will bring map changes, including the return of the desert biome from Chapter 1, featuring locations like Paradise Palms and the Racetrack. Additionally, Lego Fortnite is set to receive its biggest update since launch, introducing Clbo to the world with a range of features, including Clbo versions of Peely, a new food item, and a roadmap. It’s possible Clbo will make an appearance in Battle Royale as well. Movement features, such as a prone mechanic, are also in development, potentially adding new dynamics to the Marvel season.
Fortnite Festival and Upcoming Events
For the first artist of Chapter 6, K-Pop group New Jeans will lead the Festival in December. Players should log into Fortnite on Saturday night for a live event and an exclusive Disney panel that will announce new Fortnite Disney content, likely including the official reveal of the next season’s trailer. Attendees will receive a free Wolverine Peely back bling. The event will loop throughout the weekend to ensure everyone has a chance to participate.
