EA FC 25: Will the 85×10 SBC Go Unlimited This Week?

The focus right now in EA FC 25 is one major SBC that could change the endgame grind — the 85×10. Whether EA makes it unlimited this early is the big question. Alongside that, the market and content cycle are being driven by Futties Team 5, wild store packs, and evolutions.

Futties Team 5 Objectives Deliver Big Cards

Objectives have become a surprise hotspot for elite strikers. Robert Lewandowski headlines with a 98-rated card boasting five playstyle pluses, including finesse and incisive, with 99 shooting and 98 dribbling. Callum Hudson-Odoi joins as part of the daily play games set, while Jean-Pierre Papin receives his first FC 25 card with 99 shooting, rapid plus, and finesse. The Foot Champs Glory objective also adds 96-rated Mancini and 97-rated Smolarek for those hitting 10 wins.

EA is also testing a co-op only live FUT Friendly arriving Sunday. While casual in format, it could be a preview of FC 26’s competitive co-op tournaments.

Evolutions Still Lacking Punch

The latest free evolution, Fact Totem, caps at 95 overall but brings strong playstyles like quickstep plus, incisive plus, and tiki taka. However, with no role++ bonuses and max stat caps, many evolutions feel underwhelming. While some cards like Neymar Jr, Sergej Milinković-Savić, Theo Hernández, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Serge Gnabry, Dino Zoff, and Fikayo Tomori fit well, the overall EVO offering hasn’t matched expectations late in the cycle.

Icon SBCs and Store Pack Chaos

Two major SBCs dropped:

  • Erling Haaland – 18 squads, power shot plus, quickstep, low driven, and first touch. Costly but still appealing for those with excess fodder.

  • Diego Maradona – 18 squads, top-tier dribbling, strong playstyles, and a million-coin price tag that’s easily met via upgrade fodder. Widely upvoted and one of the most usable versions of him this cycle.

The store also saw high-cost gambles. A 500,000-coin Futties-only pack with 11 guaranteed special cards tempted players, though many were left disappointed. With 99s like Gareth Bale and Cole Palmer in packs, the risk/reward balance has pulled millions of coins out of the market. The 86×11 pack is still missing, keeping certain Futties inflated in price.

The 85×10 Decision Looms

The unlimited 84×10 already arrived earlier than any past year, signaling EA is accelerating the grind cycle. Currently, the 85×10 sits at seven completions per day. Last year, unlimited status came August 31 — well after the 84×10 opened up.

If EA pushes it to unlimited now, it would essentially mark the final phase of FC 25. More likely, it stays capped for another week, possibly increasing to 10 per day before the floodgates open. With SBC leaks for Leny Yoro, Eduardo Camavinga, and Iñaki Williams still in the pipeline, keeping the 85×10 capped helps control the pace of crafting.

For those eyeing investments, Team of the Season cards and Team of the Weeks have been climbing due to low supply. If the 86×11 pack arrives, prices should drop briefly, offering a buying window before another rise.

For traders, the next week will be critical. If EA delays the unlimited 85×10, expect SBC fodder to hold value longer, keeping certain market segments stable. If the cap is removed, prices on high-rated cards could crash within hours as supply floods the transfer market. Watch for flash SBCs or surprise re-releases during peak traffic windows, as these often shift demand rapidly. With preseason on the horizon, every coin decision now could impact the opening weeks of FC 26.
