The Chapter 2 of Dead by Daylight x STRANGER THINGS officially launched on January 27, 2026 across platforms. Players across regions access the new content at varying times such as:

Prior to the release, the developers hosted a special livestream at 4PM GMT on both Twitch and YouTube. They dived deep into the new chapter’s features and mechanics during the stream. The First: Vecna as the New Killer

Dead by Daylight welcomes a new killer, Henry Creel, who is also known as 001, Vecna, or The First. His dark backstory involves the brutal murder of his mother and sister with his psychic abilities. After being sent to Hawkins Lab for study, Creel massacred both his captors and fellow test subjects.

These events ultimately led to opening the gateway to the Upside Down. In the game, Vecna will have the ability to bend reality itself, manifesting the physical presence of Upside Down. With this unique power, he can entrap players in masses of vines, drawing them deeper into his corrupted web.

Moreover, he has terrifying mobility by emerging from the ground to strike anyone in his path. This makes him one of the most formidable killers in the current game’s roster. Those who were touched by the Upside Down will get cursed, making them vulnerable to Vecna’s abilities. 

During these moments, players may question reality itself such as seeing objects that bring misfortune. Also, Vecna can trade some speed for ability to inflict direct damage during vulnerable moments of survivors.

New Survivors: Dustin Henderson and Eleven

Joining the Chapter 2 are two of Hawkins’ most determined fighters, Dustin Henderson and Jane “Eleven” Hopper. Dustin will bring his quick-thinking leadership and problem-solving skills that saved him countless times throughout the series. Meanwhile, Eleven will enter The Fog as a gifted psychic with extraordinary abilities. 

Her supernatural powers and determination makes her a strong opponent, even against threats like The First. Each survivor brings distinct skills and experience from their previous encounters with Vecna. Also, their addition into the roster will allow players to assemble a complete team of Stranger Things survivors.

Legendary Outfits: Robin and Eddie Join The Fog
