Cyberpunk 2077 Update 2.3 drops tomorrow on all platforms except Switch 2, which gets it later. CDPR worked with Virtuous Games to deliver new vehicles, extra side jobs, and some welcome enhancements that could hint at future DLC.
Four new vehicles join the game: the armored Rayfield Caliburn, YA Semaru, YA Muramasa, and the Civil Aquila truck. Each one stands out, with three tied to new side missions. These missions differ in unlock conditions—some require finished quests, others need purchases. If you fail the Muramasa job, you must buy the bike instead. The Civil Aquila, however, remains a straight purchase.
YA Semaru quietly appeared in a Kickown comic before this reveal. Phantom Liberty originally included it before CDPR pulled it. This update brings it back, showing how CDPR often reintroduces content fans thought removed.
Auto Drive, Paint Options, and the Return of Delamain
Auto drive now works across all vehicles. Players can mark a spot, and the car drives itself. You can sit back and watch through a cinematic camera mode that resembles GTA. CDPR said YouTube drive-through videos inspired this feature.
Cyberpunk 2077 Update 2.3 Patch Notes

Every owned vehicle now receives auto drive as a “software update.” Delamain’s cab also returns once you finish his quests. Players summon it like any other ride and let it drive to their location. Johnny Silverhand might even appear in the backseat—though the patch allows you to toggle him off for a few days if needed.
Custom paint jobs also saw a massive upgrade. A total of 373 paint jobs now exist in the world—205 generic and 168 unique. Players will notice more variety in street traffic. CDPR limited Crystal Coat finishes to high-end cars for immersion. Lower-end vehicles, like the new truck, won’t support it.
Photo Mode Expands Again (Cyberpunk 2077 Update 2.3)
Photo mode received major changes in Patch 2.2. Now 2.3 expands that even further. Players can change weather, time of day, and let time move slightly for better dynamic shots. Lighting controls improved too, making it easier to set scenes.
CDPR added new pose tools. Now a character’s eyes can look in a different direction from their pose. V and other characters can also wear alternate mission outfits in the mode. New placeable NPCs include Brendan the vending machine and the Phantom Liberty twins. Cyberpunk 2077’s screenshot community will likely love these additions.
FSR 3.1, Mac Launch, and Cyberware Fixes (Cyberpunk 2077 Update 2.3)
PC players get a big performance and visual upgrade. CDPR implemented AMD’s FSR 3.1 to replace the older 3.0 version. Intel’s XCSS 2.0 also joins the list, along with HDR10+ support and frame generation. Console players benefit from VRR, and Cyberpunk 2077 officially launches on Mac.
Mac users get full ray tracing, HDR, and spatial audio with AirPods. CDPR worked directly with Apple to enable these features. The update also improves consistency across platforms. For instance, players who missed cyberware shards should find more now, fixing a long-standing progression problem.
A Glimpse at What Could Be Coming Next
CDPR hasn’t confirmed new DLC, but last month’s LinkedIn post hinted at ongoing content from Virtuous Games. The new vehicle missions might count as DLC based on CDPR’s past definitions. However, the studio never used that term in the patch notes or stream.
CDPR didn’t mention mod tools either, but several tech partnerships suggest more updates could follow. For this patch alone, CDPR collaborated with AMD, Intel, Apple, and Virtuous Games. Update 2.3 may not be the final chapter in Cyberpunk 2077’s evolution—it might just open a new one.
