So, here’s how you can succeed in the Diving Board challenge in Expedition 33!

Finding the Diving Board Location

Go near the Gestral Baths Expedition Flag in Verso’s Drafts to start the Diving Board minigame. But before that, you can only access the new area by completing Act 2 of the main story. This will unlock Equie’s flying and underwater abilities.

1. 1. From Lumiere on the map, head towards the new area to the right of the city in the water.
   2. Once you’re inside Verso’s Drafts, go straight from the first checkpoint towards a body of water.
   3. Drop down after spotting the Esquie statues on your right to find the diving board. 
   4. Then, remove the small Gestral blocking the board by attacking it to initiate the minigame. 
   5. Make sure you need to collect Esquiaro first before attempting any jumps. This is a level 29 weapon for Monoco to see the end of the diving board.

Completing the Yellow and Blue Hoops

The Diving Board minigame consists of 3 colored hoops positioned below the diving board. However, it gets progressively smaller and more difficult to land in as you go through. The yellow hoop serves as the largest out of the hoops, followed by the blue hoop then red.

1. 1. Jump from the diving board in its direction without sprinting to land inside with minimal effort.
   2. Once you’ve landed, speak with the Half-Baked Gestral nearby to claim Colour of Lumina as reward.
   3. Apply the strategy with the blue hoop by jumping from the right side of the board to land inside after a few attempts. 
   4. Passing through blue hoop rewards you with a Double Bun hairstyle for your Maelle character. 
   5. Simply turn around to find a rope if you miss any jump.

Mastering the Red Hoop Challenge

Meanwhile, the red hoop offers the most challenge and may take several hours to succeed. Since it is the smallest hoop, even slightest miscalculation may cause you to land on the hoop’s edge instead. Many claim this being one of the most difficult precision challenges in the entire game.

You also need to choose your character well for this jump. It is best to avoid using Monoco or Lune due to their unique running and floating animations which make jumps more difficult. Although Sciel or Maelle seem like good choices, you have to find a character that you’re comfortable using.

Some suggest using Verso’s Osquio outfit which is unlockable after defeating Osquio in Root of All Evil. Avoid sprinting across the entire diving board and stop near the end instead. Carefully adjust your position to aim toward the leftmost corner of the board and make sure to look straight while approaching.

Your timing will determine your success for the Diving Board challenge in Expedition 33. The most difficult among the hoops is the red hoop. So, here are some tips to easily complete the Diving Board challenge:

1. 1. Avoid jumping while you are still on the board itself.
   2. Instead, you need to wait until the very last possible second before jumping to make your character leap slightly after the board ends. 
   3. After taking off, look down to make subtle adjustments and steer toward the hoop’s center. This should guide your fall instead of making dramatic movements. 
   4. Take breaks if you’re struggling after multiple attempts. It will refresh your focus after stepping away for a while.
