Chapter 6 Season 4 Adds Power Rangers and Megazord Gameplay

Chapter 6 Season 4 of Fortnite launches on Thursday, August 7, 2025, with full support for both Zero Build and Battle Royale modes. This season features a bug invasion theme and a major crossover with Power Rangers, bringing new weapons, cosmetics, and gameplay mechanics.

Sentinel Pump and New Red Dot AR in Fortnite Season 4

The trailer opens with insect-like creatures emerging from the Durr Burger location. Bullseye is seen holding the Sentinel Pump Shotgun, indicating its return to the loot pool. A new assault rifle with a red dot sight is also shown, marking a shift back to first-person ARs after Chapter 6 Season 3 leaned on third-person variants.

Another featured item is a heavy blaster pistol, likely using shotgun shells. While it lacks a confirmed name, its design implies a high-damage output. Pods resembling Chapter 4’s jungle objects appear throughout the island, possibly offering loot or shield benefits when destroyed.

Power Rangers and the Megazord Arrive in Fortnite

The biggest reveal is the Fortnite x Power Rangers collaboration. The Red, Blue, Yellow, Black, and Pink Rangers are featured in action, and their cosmetics will be part of the Mighty Morphin bundle, available mid-August. Accessories include the “Go-Go Power Rangers Redux” Jam Track.

The Dino Megazord, a major gameplay element this season, will become unlockable for Battle Pass holders through quests starting September 16. The Megazord serves as a mid-season transformation mechanic, similar to prior events like the Star Destroyer Bombardment and Superman’s takeover. Players will temporarily control the Megazord to cause destruction across the island before reverting to their standard character.

New Fortnite Weapons: Triple-Barrel Minigun and Quad Rocket Launcher

A new triple-barrel minigun, reminiscent of the Trinity AR from Chapter 6 Season 2, appears throughout the trailer. Although it has no confirmed name, it seems fully automatic and designed for heavy damage. A quad rocket launcher also debuts, though details on its performance remain unconfirmed. Its visual arc looks underwhelming in the trailer, which may be intentional for cinematic effect.

Multiple Power Ranger-themed blasters and swords appear, and given the scale of the collaboration, these may be added to the loot pool as usable items during the season.

Battle Pass Skins and Halo Crossover in Fortnite Season 4

Several Battle Pass skins have been confirmed, including:

  • UNSC Spartan – the Halo crossover skin, available immediately with the Battle Pass.

  • Green/White Ranger (Tommy Oliver) – the Tier 100 reward.

  • Battle Gamer Mae – a tech-style fighter with robotic arms.

  • Onyx Winter – a panda-themed heavy character.

  • Agent Patch, Lt. Ripp Slade, and Yoo‑mi – additional original characters.

The Halo collaboration extends beyond just cosmetics. A Pelican vehicle appears in key art, and additional futuristic armor sets from the Halo universe are expected to tie into this crossover.

Another new automatic shotgun is shown in the promotional images. Its classification remains unclear, but it will likely function alongside the returning Sentinel Pump, potentially offering a faster-firing alternative.

The full patch notes for Chapter 6 Season 4 are expected to drop alongside the update on August 7. Leaks suggest additional content may roll out mid-season, including event challenges tied to the Megazord. Players should also watch for hotfixes in the days following launch as gameplay balance gets adjusted. More info on the Dino Megazord quests and Power Rangers event timeline will likely arrive in the next blog post.
