Blue Protocol Star Resonance is a brand-new anime MMO RPG that’s turning heads across the community. But as with most MMO launches, new players often stumble into the same early traps. Here are five crucial mistakes to avoid to keep progression smooth and efficient from day one.
Don’t Multiclass Too Early in Blue Protocol Star Resonance
It’s easy to want to try every class early on. After all, the unlock requirements—defeating 20 monsters and paying a small material cost—sound simple. But this curiosity can backfire fast. Each class has its own skill tree, and advanced book materials are scarce. Weekly limits and low drop rates make upgrading slow, meaning splitting resources across multiple classes will cripple progression.
Focus on vertical investment in one class until reaching late-game levels. Switching early means refarming gear, collecting new imagins, and grinding for different module stats. Even Hero’s Radiance costs 680 orbs, a big loss for free players. Stick with one class until resources become plentiful.
Save Your Red Orbs — Don’t Waste Them on Cosmetics
Red Orbs are the lifeblood of free-to-play progress. Early on, the game showers players with them, especially at launch events. But spending them all on flashy outfits is one of the worst beginner traps. These orbs are essential for dungeon boosters like Cheerup Treats, rare crafting items from Exquisite Material Boxes, and discounted materials in the Mystery Store.
Most importantly, the gacha system’s WillWish pulls cost 1,500 orbs per 10-pull, requiring 12,000 for a guaranteed SSR. Strong imagins like Irona (for tanks) and Tina (for DPS) are vital. Red Orbs should be saved primarily for these rolls, not cosmetics, until the account is well established.
Join a Guild Early for Extra Resources
Skipping guilds is another major mistake. Joining one unlocks daily check-ins, weekly rewards, and access to the Guild Store, where players can buy up to eight Focus Potions weekly—equivalent to two extra days of stamina for life skills.
Weekly Guild Cargo Missions also provide Guild Tokens, Honor Coins, and Bound Luno. These resources translate to faster refining and extra gear progression. Guilds also host weekly hunts, offering powerful materials and shards. Even if social play isn’t a priority, the benefits are too significant to ignore.
Avoid Selling Resources Too Soon
The in-game market may tempt new players to cash in early. Prices are high at launch, but selling rare materials immediately often leads to regret. Star Forge Crystals, Mystery Metal, and Radiant Stone are limited per day or locked behind RNG. Once sold, replacing them later slows gear upgrades dramatically.
It’s smarter to focus on life skills like mining and smelting to turn raw materials into refined goods. These are needed for gear refinement and crafting down the line. Holding materials early means smoother progression and faster dungeon readiness later.
Don’t Refine Gear Without Burmex Shards
Refining seems simple—add materials, hit upgrade, and hope for success. But without Burmex Shards, failure rates are punishing. Each shard increases success rate by 5%, up to 25% total. Given that Star Forge Crystals are among the rarest materials, losing them on a failed refine is a massive setback.
Always wait until five shards are available before refining to protect hard-earned materials. Even with 80% success rates, failure is possible, so use every safeguard available. Rushing upgrades without shards will only waste valuable resources and delay progression.
