Cleansing Veytharion’s Sanctuary is one of the major objectives in the Rex Infernus main Easter egg in Black Ops 7 Zombies. The process starts with aligning the Nexus Forge but quickly expands into a lengthy sequence involving the Woven Sash, a Titan sacrifice, a hidden laser mechanism, and four Shadow Souls.
The Woven Sash is particularly easy to miss because it only appears during rain and can spawn in three difficult-to-see locations. Here’s how to complete the entire Veytharion ritual from start to finish.
How to Start Cleansing Veytharion’s Temple
Before you can begin, you must have repaired the Nexus Forge using the Void Talon.
Return to the Forge and interact with the inner, middle, and outer cranks on its pillars. Rotate them until the mechanisms are correctly aligned with Veytharion’s Sanctuary.
You’ll know the alignment is correct when a blue beam fires into Veytharion’s mouth.
With Veytharion selected, you can move on to finding the Woven Sash.
How to Get the Woven Sash
The Woven Sash only spawns while it’s raining.
To trigger rain, head to the blue well in Veytharion’s Sanctuary. You should already have access to it after completing the stone blocks puzzle earlier in the Easter egg.
Interact with the well, and the weather will change to rain on the following round.
Once it’s raining, the Woven Sash can appear in one of three locations:

The item is extremely difficult to see normally. When checking these spots, hold the interact button as you jump toward or off the edge. This gives you a chance to collect the Sash even if you can’t visually identify it.
Check all three locations until you successfully pick up the Woven Sash.
How to Use the Woven Sash
Take the Woven Sash to Veytharion’s Main Chamber and place it inside the brazier in the center.
Next, return to the Nexus Forge.
Use the Void Claw to pull a purple orb into Pack-a-Punch, then operate the cranks to generate an Astral Flame.
Collect the flame and bring it back to Veytharion’s Main Chamber. Throw it into the brazier containing the Woven Sash.
The brazier will ignite, and one nearby zombie will become surrounded by mist.
Keep this zombie alive, as it’s required for the next stage.
How to Complete Veytharion’s Titan Offering
Lead the mist-covered zombie into Veytharion’s Passage.
Position it in the center of the Titan’s fists and activate the Titan Trap. The marked zombie needs to be killed by the correct fist for the ritual to register.
If you’ve done it properly, Veytharion will speak a line of dialogue.
Once you hear the quote, return to the Main Chamber for the laser puzzle.
Veytharion Laser Dial Puzzle Solution
Inside Veytharion’s Main Chamber, look for a stone plate on the ground just before the central brazier.
Interact with the plate, stand on it, and then repeatedly jump.
After enough jumps, the plate will open and expose a hidden dial underneath it.
Fire a charged Warden’s Blight shot at the dial to raise the mechanism into the air. The dial will then project a laser beam that you need to aim at a particular section of the room.
Where to Aim Veytharion’s Laser
Your target is the wall behind the zombie barrier located to the left of the brazier.
Shoot the floating dial to change the direction of its laser. For finer adjustments, hit the inner portion of the dial with Warden’s Blight. This moves the mechanism in smaller increments and makes it easier to line up the beam accurately.
Take your time here. If the beam is even slightly out of position, feeding zombie souls into the dial won’t complete the puzzle.
How to Power the Laser
Once the laser is correctly aligned, start killing zombies near and underneath the floating dial.
Their souls will be absorbed into the mechanism and strengthen the beam.
Continue feeding it souls until the laser destroys the targeted section of wall and reveals a stone statue.
Shoot the statue to begin the next encounter.
Four Shadow Souls will appear throughout Veytharion’s Main Chamber. An Abomination also spawns during this sequence, but killing the Abomination is not required to advance the Easter egg.
Focus on the four Shadow Souls instead.
Both Light Mend and Warden’s Blight are especially effective against them. Search the chamber until all four have been eliminated.
Afterward, return to the stone statue you originally exposed and destroy it.
You can now proceed to the final cleansing ritual.
How to Cleanse Veytharion’s Temple
Grab a Void Claw and head to Veytharion’s Passage.
Find a purple orb and pull it toward the area immediately before the stairs, positioning it directly beneath Veytharion’s head.
Once the orb is correctly placed, shoot it with a charged Warden’s Blight shot.
The orb will rise toward Veytharion and cause its mouths to glow purple. If this doesn’t happen, adjust the orb’s position and try again.
The final part of the ritual must be completed while it’s raining.
Return to the blue well in Veytharion’s Sanctuary and interact with it if necessary. Rain will begin on the following round.
Once the weather changes, head back to the Nexus Forge and obtain an Astral Flame.
Bring the flame to Veytharion and throw it directly at the center of its forehead.
If the hit connects while it’s raining, lightning will strike Veytharion and cleanse the Sanctuary.
Veytharion’s Sanctuary Steps in Order

- Repair the Nexus Forge with the Void Talon.
- Align the inner, middle, and outer cranks with Veytharion.
- Activate the blue well to trigger rain.
- Find the Woven Sash at Ruinas Insula, Spira Insula, or Aranea Insula.
- Place the Woven Sash in Veytharion’s brazier.
- Generate an Astral Flame at the Nexus Forge.
- Ignite the brazier.
- Lead the mist-covered zombie to Veytharion’s Passage.
- Kill it with the correct Titan Trap fist.
- Interact with the stone plate in Veytharion’s Main Chamber.
- Repeatedly jump on the plate to reveal the dial.
- Raise the dial with a charged Warden’s Blight shot.
- Aim the laser at the wall behind the zombie barrier left of the brazier.
- Kill zombies near the dial to power the laser.
- Shoot the revealed stone statue.
- Kill all four Shadow Souls. You can ignore the Abomination.
- Destroy the stone statue.
- Pull a purple orb beneath Veytharion’s head.
- Hit the orb with charged Warden’s Blight.
- Make sure it’s raining.
- Obtain an Astral Flame from the Nexus Forge.
- Throw it at the center of Veytharion’s forehead.
The lightning strike confirms that Veytharion’s Sanctuary has been cleansed, completing another required temple in the Rex Infernus main Easter egg.
