Season 3 Reloaded dropped for Black Ops 7 and Warzone just a few days ago, and it immediately broke several parts of the game. Players jumping into the new Freerun mode were hit with false account boosting warnings, Warzone Hot Pursuit had completely busted weapon handling, and the Bubble Shield was glitching out.

Call of Duty just pushed an emergency hotfix to clean up the mess. If you stopped playing because you were worried about catching a random shadowban, your account is safe. The developers reversed the false flags, meaning you can grind the Freerun leaderboards again without risking your profile.
Black Ops 7 & Warzone: Emergency Hotfix Tracker
| Category | Item / Mode | Key Fix / Change |
| Account Safety | Freerun Mode | False “Account Boosting” bans and warnings reversed. |
| Warzone Meta | Bubble Shield | Disabled indefinitely due to glitching issues. |
| Warzone Meta | Grappling Hook | Returns to Buy Stations; replaces Cluster Strikes. |
| Limited Mode | Hot Pursuit | Fixed weapon handling; increased final circle timers. |
| Zombies | Ashwood Survival | Fixed pathing exploit in the Sheriff’s Office. |
| Weaponry | Strider 300 | Improved ADS sight animation for better clarity. |
| Platform | PlayStation 5 | Stuttering issues acknowledged but not yet fixed. |
Warzone players also need to adjust their loadouts today. The developers disabled a major tactical item and brought back a movement tool that changes how you push buildings. At the same time, console players dealing with massive lag since the update might be disappointed with what this patch left out.
The Freerun shadowban nightmare is finally over
If you tried out the new parkour mode and got a scary warning on your screen, you were not alone. A bug in the Season 3 Reloaded launch caused the game to flag legitimate Freerun players for account boosting. In some cases, this forced players into limited matchmaking.
Activision confirmed these actions were a mistake. They quickly reversed the penalties and restored the affected accounts to good standing. You are now cleared to jump back into Freerun and chase the fastest times for the new rewards.
Warzone pulls the Bubble Shield and alters Hot Pursuit
The new Avalon limited time mode, Hot Pursuit, was practically unplayable for some people because weapons were not handling correctly. This emergency patch fixed the gun mechanics, so your aiming and shooting should feel normal again. The developers also increased the timer on the final two circles, giving your squad a bit more time to fight for positioning at the end of the match.
The biggest meta shift happens at the Buy Station. The developers disabled the Bubble Shield entirely while they investigate a bug. If you relied on it for cover in final zones, you need to find a new strategy. On the upside, they listened to player feedback and put the Grappling Hook back into Buy Stations, completely replacing the Cluster Strike.
Hidden Strider 300 buff and Zombies fixes
The patch notes confirmed a change that actually went live a few days ago. The Strider 300 sniper rifle received a much better ADS sight animation, making it feel less clunky.
Zombies players on Ashwood Survival can no longer cheese the sheriff’s office. A bug that stopped zombies from pathing into that room is now fixed, so you will actually have to defend yourself. Over on Paradox Junction, they fixed a weird glitch that stopped you from interacting with the piano if you failed to play any notes.
Endgame players also got a fix for Exfil locations failing to refresh during matches. Plus, Operation Broken Mirror Step 8 no longer requires the Thermal Spike, which was impossible to get since it is locked behind a Week 6 challenge.
PS5 players are still waiting for a fix
While this emergency patch fixes the game breaking bugs, it completely ignores the massive performance drop on the PlayStation 5. Console players are still reporting heavy stuttering and hitching since Season 3 Reloaded launched. Activision acknowledged the PS5 performance drops back in early April on their Trello board, but they did not include a fix for it in this latest update. If you play on a PS5, you just have to deal with the lag for now.
