Although 2025 is almost halfway through, some of the year’s most anticipated titles are still incoming. May includes Doom: The Dark Ages, launching on May 15 for Xbox Series, PS5, and PC. A week later, Onimusha 2: Samurai’s Destiny returns in remastered form for PC and Switch. Closing out the month is Elden Ring: Nightreign, available on every platform except Nintendo.
Switch 2 Brings a Packed Launch in June
June is when Nintendo debuts the long-awaited Switch 2. Leading the launch is Mario Kart World, an open-world racer that blends classic kart gameplay with sandbox exploration. Survival Kids and Fast Fusion also arrive day one, along with Nintendo Switch 2 Welcome Tour, a $10 tech showcase that many argue should be free for subscribers.
A wave of enhanced third-party ports launches alongside the new console. These include Cyberpunk 2077, Street Fighter 6, Sid Meier’s Civilization VII, Hogwarts Legacy, Bravely Default Flying Fairy HD Remaster, and Hitman World of Assassination. Several titles will offer Switch 2-specific upgrades and bundled DLC.
June third-party launches also feature Dune: Awakening (June 13, PC first), Five Nights at Freddy’s: Secret of the Mimic (June 15, PS5 and PC), Tron Catalyst (June 17), and Death Stranding 2: On the Beach (June 26, PS5 only).

Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater launches August 28 on PC, Xbox Series, and PS5, offering a full remake of the classic prequel. That same day, Shinobi: Art of Vengeance drops, followed by Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound—both modern takes on iconic action franchises.
