Player instructions
As far as player instructions are concerned, make sure you don’t make as many changes to the back. Set both center backs to stay back while attacking. For the fullbacks, most players tend to set the attacking runs feature to “balanced attack.” Instead of doing that, it’s ideal to set one of the fullbacks to “stay back while attacking” to ensure a solid defense throughout the game.
For both the wingers, leave the instructions as instructed to come back in defense, free roam, and come short.
For the right striker, set the instruction to Stay Central, Get in Behind, Stay Forward.
Left striker instructions should be set to False 9, Stay Forward.
Using these tactics, you ideally don’t have to bother about positional disadvantages and are best suited to players who want to focus more on the gameplay and not so much on the tactics. The mentioned instructions allow you to open a wide set of opportunities, and learning how players move with and without the ball is all you need to know.
Formation & Player Tactics for 4-3-3
Tactical Setting
These tactics are best suited for counter-attacking football, and because of that, it is crucial for one of the central midfielders to have high defensive attributes. Players like Zidane and Griezmann would be the ideal choices for the CAM role, while wingers like Salah and Arsenal’s Martinelli would also fit well into this tactic.
Player Instructions:

Left Winger
Right Winger
Central Attacking Midfielder
Both Central Midfielders
For the defenders, it’s best to set one of the wing-backs to Wing Overlap and the other to Stay Back. For the defenders, it’s best to leave them untouched as the rest of the team is set to develop on the counterattacks while both center backs focus on dealing with defensive duties.
These 4-3-3 tactics are aimed at fast counterattacking goals. Hence, get ready to be aggressive with your central midfielder in winning those early tackles, and make sure you try to play the ball to your front three or CAM as soon as you get possession. The front three along with the CAM can fully exploit all major formations with these tactics. Most importantly, speedy wingers are the ones that are going to win you matches on a regular basis.
