Recipes are an important part of survival in Beast of Reincarnation, giving Emma and Koo access to meals that manage hunger while providing additional benefits. Kaguro handles cooking aboard the Cleanse Walker, but you’ll need to explore the game’s different regions and collect recipes before she can prepare new dishes.
Some recipes are sitting inside cabins or tents near the main path, while others require story progression, keys, or a trip through enemy-controlled territory. Below, we’ve covered every known recipe location and the easiest way to reach it.
Ogouchi Buffer Zone Recipe Locations
Boiled Beans Recipe
The Boiled Beans recipe is inside a small metal cabin on a narrow cliff in the northeastern part of the Ogouchi Buffer Zone. The cliff overlooks the lake, with a campsite located nearby.
To reach the elevated area, use Emma’s hair to grapple across the small towers rising from the lake and work your way toward the top. Watch for enemies around the nearby campsite while making the climb.
Once you reach the cabin, head inside and collect the recipe.
Fried Egg Recipe
The Fried Egg recipe requires more work because it is tied to campaign progression and a sequence involving several keys.
Continue the main story until Subcity 03 becomes accessible. You’ll eventually encounter the Retired Gatekeeper, who gives Emma the Red Key and marks the locations of two additional keys, including the Yellow Key.
Travel to the cave containing the Yellow Key. An Elite enemy waits inside, and defeating it rewards you with the Tailwater Key.
Use the Tailwater Key on the locked door within the same cave. The room beyond contains several items to loot, including the Fried Egg recipe.
Ancient Civilization Zone Recipe Locations
Wheat Rice Recipe
You can pick up the Wheat Rice recipe fairly early while progressing through the Ancient Civilization Zone.
Follow the main route until you encounter a closed red gate. Look for a cabin positioned beside it and head inside to find the recipe.
Enemies occupy the surrounding area, but defeating all of them isn’t required. You can make a quick run for the cabin if you’d rather avoid an extended fight, although doing so carries some obvious risk.
Omelette Recipe
The Omelette recipe is found in the northern section of the Ancient Civilization Zone and requires some main-story progress.
Continue through the campaign until you’re tasked with activating two generators. Powering both opens a gate within the underground station.
Go through the newly opened gate and immediately check the area to your right. There is a shelf containing books that Koo can identify. Interact with them to obtain the Omelette recipe.
The Great Wall Terraces Recipe Locations
Tofu Recipe
The Tofu recipe is one of the easiest recipes to collect in The Great Wall Terraces because it’s located close to the region’s starting area.
Progress toward the first large gate, then look on the western side of the river. You’ll find a tent there containing the recipe.
Apple Pie Recipe
After passing through the large gate, travel toward the southwestern corner of the map.
You’ll eventually reach a small settlement consisting of several cabins constructed on top of a massive concrete platform. Clear out the enemies in the area before searching the village.
Look for a long cabin with white crosses on its windows. Instead of entering normally, climb onto its roof and find the opening. Drop through the hole to enter the building and collect the Apple Pie recipe.
Pilgrim’s Zone Recipe Locations
Pickle Onigiri Recipe
Follow the primary story objective until your route takes you into the cave.
Continue deeper and use the elevator to reach the next section. Shortly afterward, you’ll activate the Cave Depths campsite.
Keep moving until you reach an area occupied by three giant bears. Search the same area for a small cabin. The Pickle Onigiri recipe is waiting inside.
Grilled Veg Recipe
The Grilled Veg recipe can be found along the main route north of the large chamber.
You’ll encounter an Elite enemy as you progress through this section. Look immediately east of the Elite’s position for a small cabin containing the recipe.
Fortunately, killing the Elite isn’t necessary. If you can safely reach the cabin, you can collect the recipe and move on without winning the fight.
Fuji Frontier Zone Recipe Location
Meat Sandwich Recipe
Continue following the campaign objectives through the Fuji Frontier Zone until you unlock the Defense Outpost: Outskirts campsite.
Once the campsite is active, look directly across from it for a nearby cabin. Search inside to find several lootable objects, including the Meat Sandwich recipe.
Crater Zone Recipe Location
Meat Omelette Recipe
The Meat Omelette recipe can be collected relatively early after entering the Crater Zone.
Follow the main path until you encounter a group of enemies and clear them out. After the fight, search for one of the area’s enormous inactive robots resembling a Cleanse Walker.
There is a cabin directly in front of the machine. Enter it to collect the Meat Omelette recipe.
It’s also worth checking the opposite side of the cabin before leaving. A giant fallen golem lies nearby, and a Memory Chip can be found at its feet.
Inukami River Zone Recipe Location
Strawberry Sandwich Recipe
Travel to Gigi Overseer’s room in the Inukami River Zone and speak with him.
After the conversation, check the left-hand corner of the room. Two useful items are available here: a Strawberry Seedling and the Strawberry Sandwich recipe.
The Inukami River Zone is also particularly useful if you’ve missed seedlings elsewhere during your journey. Leave the camp and travel toward the northern section of the yard to find several farm fields.
These fields contain a wide selection of seedlings, with at least one example of every seedling type available. It’s an excellent opportunity to fill gaps in your collection and expand what you can grow aboard the Cleanse Walker.

Most recipes are close enough to campaign routes that they can be collected without a major detour, but the Fried Egg recipe is the main exception because of its story and key requirements. Checking cabins, tents, shelves, and other interactable locations as you enter each new region will help ensure Kaguro has as many cooking options as possible when you return to the Cleanse Walker.
