Battlefield 6 Update 1.3.3.0 Delivers Major Gunplay and Vehicle Balance Changes

DICE has released Battlefield 6 Update 1.3.3.0, bringing one of the game’s largest multiplayer balancing patches to date. Available since June 26, the update overhauls core gunplay, adjusts vehicles across multiple classes, and introduces a wide range of network, gameplay, and quality-of-life improvements.

Gunplay Receives a Significant Overhaul

The biggest focus of Update 1.3.3.0 is improving the consistency of firefights.

DICE has rebalanced damage multipliers for every weapon class, placing greater emphasis on landing headshots while updating projectile behavior to make long-range engagements more skill-based.

Bolt-action sniper rifles have also been adjusted. Their effective one-shot range has been reduced, requiring players to position themselves more carefully when attempting medium-distance eliminations.

Bullet physics have changed as well. Most primary weapons now feature lower muzzle velocity and increased bullet drag, making it more difficult to hit moving targets at longer distances. At the same time, reduced recoil variation gives weapons more predictable handling during sustained fire.

Vehicle Balance Changes Affect Multiple Classes

Update 1.3.3.0 also includes another comprehensive balance pass for vehicles and their equipment.

Tanks, infantry fighting vehicles, helicopters, anti-air systems, and launchers have all received adjustments aimed at improving overall battlefield balance.

Some of the most notable changes include:

  • Buffs to the RPG-7V2 launcher
  • Stronger anti-air weapon effectiveness
  • Reduced effectiveness of Thermal Smoke
  • Adjustments to tank ammunition and defensive systems

These changes are intended to create more balanced engagements between infantry and armored vehicles while refining the effectiveness of various vehicle loadouts.

Network Performance and Gameplay Improvements

Beyond weapon and vehicle tuning, DICE has introduced several technical improvements designed to make online matches feel more responsive.

The update improves hit registration, reduces situations where players die after reaching cover, accelerates client-side damage feedback, and optimizes overall network synchronization. It also addresses several causes of rubberbanding that could disrupt gameplay.

Players should also notice improvements to:

  • Spotting mechanics
  • Revive interactions
  • Character animations
  • Spawn behavior
  • Objective functionality
  • Overall server responsiveness

Hundreds of Bug Fixes Included

Update 1.3.3.0 also expands Battlefield 6’s quality-of-life features with improvements across multiple game systems.

The patch includes interface refinements, progression updates, additional Portal creator tools, Competitive mode adjustments, REDSEC fixes, audio improvements, AI enhancements, and hundreds of bug fixes affecting maps, weapons, gadgets, vehicles, menus, and other gameplay systems.

With extensive changes to gunplay, vehicle balance, and online performance, Update 1.3.3.0 represents one of Battlefield 6’s most substantial post-launch patches. The update aims to improve the overall multiplayer experience while laying the groundwork for future balance adjustments as DICE continues supporting the game.
